When you wake up your day begins and your biggest gift of life really sets in. Each day is a gift and each minute needs to be used wisely. It’s funny that often we forget to appreciate our loved ones, those that are closest to us, because sometimes we take each other for granted.
One thing I have learned are 3 tips for appreciating loved ones, and they are easy to follow, and easy to do, and actually just have become part of who I am. The architecture of each of our lives is the road unpaved, our foundation, the cement that keeps us together is the strong appreciation we have towards one another and the small things that seal the deal.
By no means am I discussing gift-giving, I am talking about small ways to appreciate the ones you love or those that you are close to in your personal life. Lavishly live life out loud and share in my secrets of 3 tips for appreciating loved ones.
3 Tips For Appreciating Loved Ones
It’s no secret that the bigger your family is the harder it is to keep each smaller tokens of affection and appreciation on-going because life just gets moved in chaos. I love our big family, but sometimes I have to practice appreciating loved ones, because things we love about others needs to be spoken, not just personally noted.
Saying Things Out Loud
When you feel something, say it out loud. Let the other person know. Our biggest mistake in life can be not telling somebody how we feel and if you have watched any movie this is a theme that plays true in many movies. Say what you mean and mean what you say, then say it to the person. Morbid as it may be, you might not get another chance to express your feelings.
My validation of this is in “Bringing Up Bates” when Gil flat out states that he can’t believe Michaella won’t be there each day and he won’t see her each day. There is a perfect example of a very large family saying things out loud to express their passion about each other. This one small statement appreciates a loved one. Simple things like this, make Bringing Up Bates an incredibly life-validating show.
The example of living life out loud is MAKE IT COUNT and The Bates family has many of those moments, like when Michaella says ‘Yes To The Dress‘ that just starts Gil down a path already walked, but he has appreciation for each of his loved ones!
Let Them Know They Are Beautiful
It does not matter if you love their face, their personality or just everything about them, don’t keep it to yourself, validate someone, tell them, “You are beautiful.” Family inspires each other, blood is thicker than water and those binds that tie us, make us strong, letting someone know what they are builds esteem and grand relationships, open up and say it!
Back to Gil, he is really all around awesome for a DAD! The guy tears up at his daughter’s wedding dress, and tells her “You are beautiful”, he will miss her, he has grown up with her, and their lives are forever bonded. Gil is such a strong role model for a dad, in fact he is an amazing dad that really sets the bar high for everyone out there. Genuine, kind and so able to communicate to his family is what makes The Bates Family so lucky to have a dad like Gil!
Spend Time Together And Make It Count
Put the phones down, live, laugh, and enjoy time together from ice skating, to family game night, its all about spending time together. Hug, hold hands, snuggle and just enjoy the time. There is always time to communicate with the outside world, pay attention to each other when you are together, you can’t make up moments that have passed.
Look at how fun The Bates family is: they “play family games” together, sit and spend time together, fish, gather berries, go to wedding gown fittings together, skate together and hang out together without technology breaking up their time! Each minute counts and if you need tips on how to spend time together, watch Bringing Up Bates!
