Traveling is no easy task, as getting to somewhere requires getting in a car, train, plain, boat or bus and often the rides can be long and very wearing on the body. Anyone who has traveled anywhere can attest to the fact that thinking ahead of the travel will keep you comfortable and that is why I have my favorite 3 travel essentials.
You don’t have to be a world-traveler to get that you need a few comforts to keep things moving smoothing on a trip and to keep that smile on your face! Basically, if these 3 travel essentials are not with me, travel is not going to be comfortable.
I know my priorities on vacation and trips are all about beauty, rest and shopping so if I have myself armed and ready I am then relaxed because I am organized. For me, traveling is a series of organizational components, each that need to be met with a planned way to resolve any situation that might come up. Are you ready to lavishly live travel out loud and learn what the 3 travel essentials for travel are?
Hair and Traveling
Traveling is relaxing, but often my trips are for work. When I have to meet with someone a ball cap won’t work at dinner, lol. I have to tell you, once my hair goes limp, dull or completely frizzy depending on the environment we are in, I simply get distressed.
Getting my hair to look as good as I can due to a changed weather environment is tough enough, and if I can’t get it to cooperate I don’t feel like I am on my game. That’s right, think of this as my Big Fat Hair and traveling! I have been using Fat Hair Amplifying Hair Spray to volumize, repair, hold and let my hair shine on when I style it.
Pack It Right
This is placed in the bag I check in, so I am not with a minimal amount, rather I have my secret 10 Oz can with me! Why I love this particular product is that it allows you to put it in the morning, and then, later on, brush through it and restyle with ease.
For me, this is my day-to-evening rush transitional spray because it can handle my hair, repair it and let me work with it over and over to recreate that look. This lets me REVIVE my look while repairing my hair, so it is a helpful spray to keep my tresses looking their best while I am away.
When I am home, and not traveling, I use the Fat Hair Amplifying Leave-In Conditioner to treat my hair to much-needed attention after fun in the sun, sand and outdoors! I do not use this more than once a week, as my hair does not need it more than that, but after I trip, I like to really tend to what I left to go by the wayside while traveling… my hair!
After all, if you don’t take care of your hair it won’t be kind in return, lol! Both of these products truly provide amplified hair, rather than limpy, rat-looking strands which make me happy and are truly beauty helpers. I just wanted you to see both items because they really rock hair repair IMO.
My Neck & Head
Have you traveled anywhere when you were not the one driving? I know one thing I can say with certainty, I fall asleep and the neck rolling is not comfortable. I take this particular Comfy Commuter with me because it easily hooks around any of my luggage and any handle I have.
The Comfy Commuter is Made in The USA and it is really plush and comfy. The Comfy Commuter is very comfortable behind the neck and on the sides and there is nothing strangling you when you use it like some I have tried.
You don’t have to break the Comfy Commuter in, it is comfortable from the day you get it and start using it. I love that the Comfy Commuter is washable, after all if you are using it against a public seat(Train, Plane, Bus), you will love this option as well.
My Shopping Obsession
Part of any good trip in my world is the shopping. I find nothing more relaxing that trolling shop-to-shop, and all along a boardwalk as I never know what I might find. My eyes are open for unique holiday gifts, trinkets for my kids and honestly new wardrobe as having a nice piece from each destination takes me back when I wear it!
How do I shop till I drop and still fit in my bags? On a recent trek with Disney Mom Bloggers to LA, that I flat ran out of space. I needed this bag and did not have it with me. Meet the Bag In A Bag. This is by clever container, and the concept is priceless. This is now flat, but it turns into a 18″ x 12″ x 7″ bag whenever you need it, and it stores flat and it becomes 10″ x 7″ x 2″, so it is perfectly small and flat to fit into your luggage, it’s just like shoving an extra tee shirt in your bag, but now you can shove even more in when you shop! LOVE IT!
Here is another option, it is a duffle, look how small it folds.
These are the pieces that make my travel more lavish and without each of them I would be a lost traveler. When I bring a few comforts from home I find that traveling becomes much more relaxing. We all have those things that make travel more lavish, and these are mine! This is how I lavishly live travel out loud and these are my 3 travel essentials. What are yours?
