Sometimes the big announcements that you don’t want anyone to miss happen and then suddenly you find yourself getting to take part in spreading the news!
Today I will show you an easy way to craft paper sashes #ReceiptYouLater, and share some really big news with you. Perhaps you watched Jimmy Kimmel Live last week and through his witty banter of discussing his potential running for VP, he reignited his discussion of the Too Lengthy receipts at CVS.
CVS President Helena Foulkes stopped by and offered a profound announcement addressing Jimmy’s issue: CVS will now offer digital receipts for those that desire to rid the paper trail. The long paper receipts you have become accustomed to at CVS will be the dinosaur of the past (if you opt for digital).
Excited at the CVS announcement, I wanted to share the ultimate and easy way to craft paper sashes, reusing receipts (as long as you can). Lavishly live a simply diy out loud with an easy way to craft paper sashes. #ReceiptYouLater
Meet Ms. #ReceiptYouLater
Once upon a time in a time not so far away, lived the self-proclaimed Ms. #ReceiptYouLater. One thing Ms. #ReceiptYouLater knew is that were practical reuses for those receipts that were milling around in handbags, cars and desk areas everywhere. Her mission was to educate and inform the consumer on how to best reuse and recycle those receipts.
Ms. #ReceiptYouLater had a favorite store for extra long receipts, that’s right, her local CVS Pharmacy so she could craft her famous paper sashes.
Ms. #ReceiptYouLater also knew that parting with what we are used to (long receipts) is never easy, so being able to have choices is so important(choose digital receipts or paper receipts). I am not quite sure what is going to happen to my beautiful sashes that I own, as I want to go digital, but may have to sneak in a paper receipt here and there to craft a new sash….Oh the problems of being Ms. #ReceiptYouLater.
Thank goodness that no matter what CVS customers will always be able to specifically request a paper copy of their receipt at the time of the transaction, if they would like to receive one meaning I can craft a sash when I need to! Take stock of all those piles of receipts around your home and get ready to push them to their limits as it is time to learn an easy way to craft paper sashes.

Shop at your local CVS and make sure you also have those coupons loaded onto your app. Get to the checkout and do card swipe, which is basically you waving your magic wand and pining for those long receipts that will magically transform into a lovely black and white sash in a few simple steps.
Place your receipts together and put one long piece of clear tape on them, now you have 6 feet of sash about to happen.
Place one end of the receipt on your right shoulder, taking special care to ensure the receipt writing is showing the world all of your purchases.
Allow the receipt to fall around your waistline diagonally to the left and then bring it up under your left arm diagonally across your back and staple three times across the top.
That’s it you have the most lovely sash that was easy to create and you reused receipts! Add in one wand and one tiara and you can also be a self-proclaimed Ms. #ReceiptYouLater!
Wear the tiara as proudly as I do and lavishly live life out loud.
