Prepare Your Shopping Stops
Any good shopping diva knows that before you shop, you plan your execution of stores. Personally, I like to eliminate those early on that I ‘like’ but usually don’t do my best shopping in. I have stores that bring about a calm and I save those for last.
Plan Your Time
Shopping is definitely not something you want to rush, because it ruins the experience. I dislike being rush when I shop, and I turn off my phone, and just concentrate on me. Alright, so I don’t turn off my phone because I Instagram everything, but I don’t take calls.
My favorite stores get at least 2 hours dedicated, especially when I am in Macy’s, I get lost in there and have to be at least 2 hours +. Same situation with Nordstrom, because Momma has to shop! When it is a smaller store, with less racks, less store footage, I just kind of get in, check the clothing, the mannequins (make sure I have the style down) and then I head out. I call those store my information seeking stores. I use the smaller stores in the malls
Look In The Mirror
Really did you look in the mirror before you walked out the door? Do it. Make sure you have a comb, a hair clip, and a neutral pair of shoes on so that trying on clothing will be a snap. Chances are, if you have on the right clothes before you go, and have the right accessories like hair pulls, etc with you, you will already be using money saving spending tips.
Being dressed with clothes and shoes that let you change easily creates less impulse buying and encourages trying on. If you try it on, you are less likely to buy what does not look right and of course you won’t have that bag that has to get returned and never does.
