Pistachio Pineapple Fluff, the stuff of memories
Years ago, when our family was so Italian Big, and every weekend was an excuse to party, we would get together and all the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents would cook like there was no tomorrow.
Every family brought main dishes and desserts and one of our aunts brought Pistachio Pineapple Fluff.
The parties were fun, a great time to mix it up and of course a way to fill your ‘stomago’ (stomach) and your refrigerator with leftovers.
As time has passed, families have expanded, moved away, and traditions have changed, that large family gets together has dwindled down to brothers, sisters and cousins, but we still celebrate our gatherings and holidays with lots of delicious food.
Today’s recipe of Pistachio Pineapple Fluff is super easy to make, requires minimal ingredients and the result is just mouth sumptuous!
Let’s prepare Pistachio Pineapple Fluff and lavishly live food out loud!
This is like the party in a bowl, and the sweet factor is way up there. Your main ingredient is whipped topping and you can buy it regularly, light or fat-free, it will taste good no matter what!
My oldest son (the one without food allergies) craves this Pistachio Pineapple Fluff every holiday so I am always making it!
Make it for any holiday just add a little food coloring to change the color.
I always keep my freezer stocked with a few containers of whipped topping, and the brand does not matter! In fact, some of the store’s brands have great flavors, like Vanilla!
Make sure you let the whipped topping defrost in the refrigerator, because you need to mix it well and it needs to fluff, and frozen does not fluff!
Do not microwave the whipped topping as that will ruin the consistency.
