Meatless party food options are not always the easiest to come up with, set aside from the standard veggie trays.
Chips and dips don’t count as meatless in my world and I love when we have parties and I introduce those that would never have eaten veggies to something new.
Pressure cooker parmesan mushroom buttons are one of the top ‘asked for’ recipes when we travel off to parties or have people over.
They remember them and want more. While they are meatless they do contain dairy.
However, these are perfect for vegetarians who need something to snack on.
Try explaining that to my family who thinks Vegetarianism is a disease. Ha!
The first time I created pressure cooker parmesan mushroom buttons, they reminded me of a dish I had in Italy.
Now I make them remember the Italian foods we ate on a trip there recently and because they serve so well for finger foods.
Mushrooms have a really satisfying flavor and the parmesan seals the deal.
Make sure to bookmark and print the recipe so you too can make pressure cooker parmesan mushroom buttons and lavishly live party foods out loud.

Pressure Cookers – For Pressure Cooker Parmesan Mushroom Buttons
You can use any Pressure Cooker. I was testing this one out and it is a decent pressure cooker.
My favorite electric pressure cooker, however, is the Instant Pot.
Why? When it comes to making any type of food, the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker takes the work out of the timing guessing game!
If you still have not taken the plunge and gotten an electric pressure cooker, now is the time!
Up your cooking game and make meals, snacks, soup and more in minutes, not hours!
To be honest, I don’t know what I did before my Instant Pot or other electric pressure cookers.
Pressure cookers are the kitchen appliance that makes a difference in everyday food prep!
Cook’s Notes For Pressure Cooker Parmesan Mushroom Bites
Always use FRESH mushrooms for this recipe. Canned won’t work.
They are already soft and they won’t harbor the same taste. Additionally always buy full mushrooms, not pieces.
However, if you don’t want to serve it as a party dish and want a side dish, sliced mushrooms will work nicely with this recipe.
Side them with basic breaded pork chops or breaded chicken!
Have you seen how inexpensive mushrooms are? I believe these are some of the most reasonable items you can purchase to create an appetizer.
Also, you can use baby ‘bella’ mushrooms or big plain white mushrooms.
Cleaning A Mushroom
When cleaning the mushrooms, it is imperative to let them drain out, stem-side down.
Less water content is better. If by chance you are in a rush, set them in a colander after rinsing atop a few paper towels to absorb as much water as possible.
Trim on the bare minimum of the stem base if you cut any off at all.
I generally just thoroughly wash the mushrooms and leave the stem, it is edible and then it is clean!
Also, you can use Baby Portabella mushrooms, they turn out great too and they are a little larger.
The choice is yours, just have fun with it and enjoy the taste! Mmmmm.
INGREDIENTS FOR PRESSURE COOKER PARMESAN MUSHROOM BITES
Make sure your purchased mushrooms are refrigerated, cleaned, dried and free of blemishes.
You don’t want black marks across the top of the cap, nor do you want wilted mushrooms.
I prefer to buy these the day before I make them and I buy the whitest I can find. Push on them through the package to feel them.
See my photo above to get an idea of what I purchase.
Also, you can buy a larger package, as I am sure this recipe can be doubled easily since I do that all the time.
