Adventure. Eat. DIY. Repeat. includes my outdoor time where I tinker, garden, plant, weed, mow, chop, and enjoy myself. There is nothing nicer than spending time outdoors and creating a lovely outdoor habitat for wildlife and lush gardens to provide a bit more beauty and I spend loads of time outdoors gardening. As a result of working in the yard, there is always clean up and I look for the best ways to clean up with ease and without expending too much more energy as I already am pretty spent after a day outside. I have found a way to blow things off, LOL and make it all look great!
I actually should say, this review Blows leaves away, because the Ryobi Backpack Blower will have you blowing everything in your path, clean! I was so excited when I was offered the opportunity to test out a Ryobi Backpack Blower. I tend to a lot of the yard work and raking is so time consuming and inconvenient. I like to get outside, and spend time when time allows, but honestly with the boys rigorous sports schedules I don’t have as much time as I would like to have when it comes to tinkering in the yard! Together, my family and I work the yard, weekend after weekend, but the flower beds, the trees, grass and weeding never seem to slow up and it can be exhausting. We have a huge preserve behind our home and with trees comes multitudes of leaves and then of course leave clean up!
As our yard matures there are more and more leaves to clean in addition to all the dead foliage in the beds and freshly mulched grass. Having a piece of equipment that saves me time and an aching back is crucial. The Ryobi Backpack Blower has become my bestie when I am outside and working, there is not much I don’t blow away with this blower as it makes it so easy to clean up around the house from cobwebs to leaves and everything in between.
What impressed me the most about this particular blower is the lightweight feel it has to it. The Ryobi Backpack Blower is only 18 pounds and when you have it on, you really don’t feel much other than power behind a force of air that is moving those leaves! Power trip!!! When you go blower shopping you definitely want to look for a lightweight model with great power and the Ryobi Backpack Blower offers a lightweight blower with a 42cc engine. This actually translates in girl world to a very powerful way to move large piles of leaves, and grass with very little effort!
The backpack itself is very comfortable to wear for a longer period of time. We have a lot of area to cover so I was strapped in for a while. The straps are padded and the safety harnesses straps across your chest which helps to evenly transfer the weight on your back in addition to keeping the straps on your shoulders so the backpack does not fall off. While initially I felt funny about securing the front restraint, I just went with it and it really did make a difference.
The Ryobi Backpack Blower is easy to start, and once started you transfer it to your back. Every function button is clearly marked and it is easy to understand how to run this machine. Really, I needed it to be very simple, just like pulling a rake, but without the back-breaking effort. The blower offers cruise control, just like a car, but this is actually a vacation for your hands rather than your feet. This is a way to lock the throttle, which just is a fancy way for saying a way to hold the trigger without actually having to hold the trigger in order to make it go. 2 thumbs up for the easy-to-use and light-to-carry Ryobi Backpack Blower!
