You might find it unusual, but every weekend during Football season there is a party in our house.
The season of Football is upon us and that is the season of eat, gather, party, repeat.
We cheer on our favorite Black ‘n Gold team at my home.
I love our time together with our friends.
We want to catch up on the week gone by, while the kids get to be with all of their friends.
What stinks is that by the time everyone leaves, I am tired too, but I have to clean the party areas, and bathrooms back up.
Then, I have to package up leftovers while getting ready for the week ahead.
Rather than punishing myself with so much work, I keep things easy, fun, and simple by grabbing foods that make preparation simple, and that quickly turning a table into a Football Buffet of yum.
Effortless football party gatherings are possible, you just have to know my 3 tips that keep them simple yet fun!
Cheers to kicking off a season of football fun and using my 3 tips for an effortless football party.

3 Tips For An Effortless Football Party
I believe that the two things that any great party should offer are great tables-cape and great food.
Neither the tablescape nor the food prep has to take much time, but you have to know what to do to achieve the look.
Trust me, as a mom of three, all I do is run, and when I get those precious minutes in the house, I make the most of them.
I want to do as little as possible while providing the biggest return on look and taste.
My working knowledge of how to throw an effortless football party creates our home as the hub for NFL bliss.
First things first, it’s about shopping for the party! I head out to and pick up great eats.
But not just any eats, party food!
Instead, it is about party supplies too!
My typical game day supplies include items such as chips, dips (guacamole!), popcorn, fresh raw veggies, etc., and of course a few extras along the way.
Now it’s time for my first TIP for you!
Are you ready for tip #1?
Tip #1 – Keep Food Easy But Crave-able
Food is the reason for the season and football just really stirs up an appetite!
With all the energy we spend cheering on our team, armchair coaching, and running our jaws chatting, I don’t feel like expending anymore on prep or cleanup!
Talk about delicious and easy.
I love gatherings, and I love them better when I have to do less work and get more compliments on the taste of the food!
Truly a win.
Goodbye, pots, pans, and crock pots, I am so done with you!
Instead, I have traded you all in for a simple trip to the recycle bin.
I prep our eats in foil pans, foil-lined baking trays, and paper plates, this is about the easiness of preparation.
Cheesy Bacon Corn Dip is an easy one-pot prep too, grab the recipe for those who love cheesy foods for dipping!
What Can Be Prepared With No Pots or Mixing Bowls?
Oh, the answer is easy.
Wings that are frozen and ready to go!
Place them on a foil-lined tray or pan, and bake!
That’s it, no bowls, no prep, just grab, put on the pan, crank that oven and let them cook!
Yes, it is that easy.
While they are the hero of the meal, I add in other grab-and-g0 foods like popcorn, chips, quesadillas (made on paper plates) and then I add fresh veggies.
Of course, everyone inbound to the house brings stuff, so there’s a lot more than this, but, the staples are key to the party, and I rock them!
For beverages, everything is from a can or plastic bottle so it ALL goes into the recycle bin.
I prefer to keep it really simple and no one minds.
If we use cups of any sort, they are plastic, so they can go into the recycle bin.
Large serving dishes go in the dishwasher, but there is so little else to do, and that is why I love this method of the party.
Love Feta cheese? Try this Feta Cheeseball it’s got a fabulous Flavor and is always Football Perfect snacking!
Tip #2 Easy Table Football Party
Here’s how to create a fast and great looking table in no time so you can gather around the table and celebrate football!
First, find any local store with party plates (Amazon, Walmart, dollar stores, etc) that reflect the color of the team you are cheering on or just get a Football field cloth.
We use Black and Gold always.
Next, find a football plastic table cover and some napkins and suddenly you have transformed your room into a Football Party Haven.
Disposable is key when entertaining, especially on the weekends, when the next day is Monday! (ugggg)
Now all you have to do is cheer on your team!
This is super easy and you can interchange the look with any football tableware you find at your local retail stores as selection varies everywhere!
Remember to add a small football to the center of the table, trust me, the kids will hoist it before the party is over.
Tip #3 Keep The Clean-Up Easy
What can I say, the best tip of all is how to clean up the NOT mess that was left behind from the party.
The tablecloth, paper plates, and napkins hit our recycle bin.
Bottles and plastic bottles from beverages are in the recycle bin as well.
My husband takes care of trash duty, while I take zip bags and package any leftovers.
However, this brings up another key point.
We leave zipper plastic bags at the table.
Accordingly, we offer any one of our guests the opportunity to fill them up, as they leave, which makes leftovers really minimal.
Back To The Party
Since I have shared my 3 effortless football party tips it’s time to get back to armchair coaching for me and of course all that trash-talking we do as a crowd, lol!
Adventure. Eat. DIY. Repeat. during a football game is possible.
Cut prep in half with incredible food like that is easy to prepare.
These will save you time and energy, plus alleviate prep bowls and ingredients to clean up.
There is no scurrying around to gather all the ingredients, it is just an open the freezer door easy kind of food!
I hope you have enjoyed my 3 tips for an effortless football party.
