Snowmen have such a great lifespan for food creation.
Unlike other cookie-cutter designs, like trees, angels, and ornaments, snowmen can be used for about 5 months.
I love snowmen. They are perfect from November until March!
Air Fryer Snowmen with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Filling is easy to make and resembles the flavor of a cinnamon sugar pop tart.
The recipe for these air fryer snowmen is simplistic in nature and takes just minutes to create.
Remember, I only prepare no-fuss recipes that deliver big on taste!
When you see what dough I used, you won’t believe that you have not tried this yet.
The time to make and then air fry is under 10 minutes.
I’ve actually made 2 different versions of these snowmen.
What’s most unique is that the snowmen end up light and crisp with a really cinnamony taste. Mmmm!
Also, the most important about this air fryer snowmen recipe is that you can change the cookie cutter to create any kind of cookie shape!
Alright, it’s time for you to make your own, ‘Ummmm!’ and to share the recipe.
Air Fryer Snowmen with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Filling
Above all, and before we start, you gotta know that these are delicious and easy.
In other words, the combination you have been seeking for a test run in your air fryer.
Baking is not something I do once in a while, I always have fresh baked goods in our home.
That is to say, while that may not seem like a great idea, buying baked goods is worse.
What is in the store packed baked items are additives and preservatives and food that has an endless shelf life.
Don’t you just wonder what is in it? I always ponder the additives and what it does to our stomach and heart.
While I won’t lay claims that any baked good is good for you, I will say that this recipe has no nasty additives.
You will make, then air fry and serve.
However, you won’t have any grease, lard, or disgusting fillers in your end result.
Air Fryer Snowmen – Been There, Tried This Over And Over
So, you should know that I’ve made over 24 dozen of these and only now will I share the recipe. Why?
I wanted the recipe to taste right, and be easy to make.
When I started making these little snowmen, I started out differently.
What did I do then that is so different after the 24th dozen?
Most importantly, I began air frying the snowmen instead of baking.
There has to be an easier way and air frying was the path.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to air fry the snowmen you could bake them.
Moreover, you do want to note, that the taste of the snowmen, from the air fryer, far exceeds the taste from the oven.
Instead of using the oven, I air-fried these snowmen, plain and simple!
Dough Matters – Air Fryer Snowmen with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Filling
Most cutouts are created from either shortbread or sugar cookie dough.
No to all that. I’ve created hundreds of dozens of both sugar and shortbread, these snowman needed to be stand out.
That is to say, that the taste needed to different as did the texture than a sugar or shortbread cookie.
What kind of dough could I use that would change all this?
Is there really a different dough that cuts out so light and airy and tastes good?
I challenged myself and then it hit me.
AN Old Recipe Led To Innovation – Air Fryer Snowmen
There’s a dough I use over and over and a rolled cookie I make with butter and cinnamon sugar filling.
What if, instead of making cinnamon and sugar rolled pinwheel, I use the same dough to make a cutout?
Nope, the dough itself would be ‘blah’ and taste buttery and plain.
What now? I guess you could say I went back to the cutting board, lol and tried my thoughts again.
To sum up, I shelved the idea, but then got ambitious again, and curious!
Of course, this led to me using the recipe I originally thought of.
Naturally, I had the right idea and should have implemented it faster!
Arriving at the Perfect Dough Choice for Air Fryer Snowmen Brown Sugar Cinnamon
To clarify, I guess I should also tell you that I wanted a dough I could use year-round and with any cut-out.
That part of the plan was always a consideration. Why?
Publishing a recipe that can’t be used year-round is senseless when you own a website.
You all have come to depend on me for these creative recipes that offer a twist called ‘usability!’
If you are bookmarking an article, certainly, you want it to be one you come back to time after time and I’ve got that recipe!
Cookie Cutter Chatter

In other words, the only thing you are limited by is your cookie cutter.
In fact, if you don’t have cookie cutters, try any of these options, by clicking the word, and order a cookie cutter.

I have a large set of cookie cutters. In fact, any time I see one that looks interesting I buy it.
While the cookie cutter may not be for the then and there, it ends up being used in the future! Trust me on this!
Stainless Steel Cookie Cutters are my fave. Of course, I also like Stainless Steel with rubber trim, they are great too.
I tend to steer away from plastic, but I do have a few as well.

The Reveal of Air Fryer Snowmen Dough – Rules of Success
Alright, now we are caught up on all the other important information, it’s time to reveal the dough I used.
Subsequently, there are 2 rules, well let’s say 3 you must follow to get the best dough, if you don’t I can promise you, your dough will flop.
Trust me, it sucks to have to follow rules and I hate recipes with rules, but this one is an exception and exceptional!
Follow. Respect the recipe and gain success.
Rules You Gotta Follow for Success of Air Fryer Snowmen
Firstly, always use ice water, always. No other options will make the recipe ok.
Secondly, always use unsalted butter. You do this so that the cookies won’t spread and lose their form.
In conclusion, as mentioned there is ONE more large rule, you need to know, in order to succeed.
The air fryer must be cycled at least ONE Time for 4 minutes on 400° F ( I do this for 8 minutes), it’s called pre-heating.
In short, the best foods in an air fryer turn out the best when…. the air fryer is preheated without exception.
I’ve discussed this plenty in other air fryer posts, so take heed if you want to achieve great results.
Did you guess we are making specialty pie dough? Then you are super smart!
Simple Ingredients & Process for Air Fryer Snowmen Dough
For Cooling Prep
Set up at least 2 cooling racks. I suggest placing disposable trays underneath to catch the sugar and cinnamon and butter.
Alternatively, you can use parchment paper, or foil or a cookie tray you can wash off.
Just save yourself counter cleanup any way you can!
Before you begin, get the air fryer ready.
Make certain to pre-heat the air fryer to 400°F and to spray the basket with nonstick spray.
Meanwhile, make your dough.
For the Dough Process
Mix your flour, cinnamon, salt and unsalted butter (tablespoon slices) in a mixing bowl.
Allow your mixer, or hands to combine. I used a free-standing mixer to create.
Once the mixture is crumbly, add in the icy water. Adding one tablespoon at a time.
However, I ended up using more icy water in one batch and less in another so have about a 1/2 C ready to go, you may NOT need it.
Remove from mixer and knead on the counter.
Roll the dough out to just about 1/8th of an inch.
The dough is going to fluff just a bit when air-fried.
You want this to happen.
Using your snowman cookie cutter, cut at least 4 at a time out of the rolled dough.
In The Air Fryer Basket – Air Fryer Snowmen
Place your fresh-cut snowmen into the fryer basket.
Program the air fryer to 4-minute cycles ( in most cases 4 is the max time, you should check on them at 3 minutes).
While the Snowmen Are Air Frying Prep The Filling And Topping
In a small bowl, combine Cinnamon and Confectioner’s Sugar. Mix well. Place in Sifter.
Using medium-sized bowl (depth is good here) combine brown sugar and melted butter. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Last, melt more butter in a measuring cup and grab a pastry brush.
Place all of the aforementioned by the cooling racks.
Once Cooking Cycle Is Completed for Air Fryer Snowmen
Now that the cycle of cooking is completed, remove the snowmen, one by one.
You can use a spatula (smaller), your hands, or you can flip them onto the trays (I’ve done all successfully, your choice).
While they are warm, you have 2 very different ways you can decorate these Air Fryer Snowmen with Brown Sugar Cinnamon.
Method One – Truly The Classic Air Fryer Snowman with Brown Sugar Cinnamon
First, slice the snowman in 1/2. (if you cut these to the proper width, this will be easy).
The dough will not break.
Next, once this is sliced in 1/2, fill with the brown sugar cinnamon.
It will be about a teaspoon, but this can vary due to the SIZE of YOUR cookie cutter.
Keep the filling thinner instead of thicker.
Next, replace the sliced pieces and put them together.
Now, brush the top with butter using the pastry brush. Since the snowmen is warm it will suck up the butter.
Then, use the sifted mixture of sugar and cinnamon, set aside and do the other cookies.
Repeat, until all are air-fried and finished.
Method Two – I just want to get done and taste these Snowmen and No Extra Work Please
No judgment here, trust me. I’ve done this recipe so many times, that at points, I don’t slice and fill!
However, since the recipe is called Air Fryer Snowmen with Brown sugar cinnamon, I shared the Classic Recipe.
This method is the ‘get er’ done portion when time is ticking away!
Once you remove the snowmen from the air fryer, just use the pastry brush to coat the snowmen with butter.
Then, use the sifter to coat with sugar and cinnamon mixture. It works perfectly.
In conclusion, choosing this method leads to no filling, but still a tasty treat!
Storage of the Air Fryer Snowmen
Simply allow these all to cool, and then layer them in an airtight storage container.
As you layer, use parchment paper to avoid sticking.

The Results of Air Fryer Snowmen with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Filling.
These almost taste like brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts.
Truth be told, I love them because the dough is flawless time and time again.
Additionally, unlike cookies, they seem to store for a few weeks in a container.
Above all, I will say this statement once and consider yourself warned.
When I make these, they are eaten on demand and there are none left.
Each recipe will yield about 18 cookies again, depending on your cookie cutter size.
Last, as the only other note about this recipe is the fact that an air fryer cookie is a little more time-consuming than a tray of oven cookies.
Since I can only do 4 to a batch maximum 6, you do have to wait 4 minutes between batches.
However, the ROI (Return on Investment), fresh, no additives, no preservatives, no oven heat, and big smiles!
Enjoy ~ Dana XO
