Today’s discussion is sponsored by ALDI. I saw my kids smashing the little left over brownies with their cookies one day and I wondered how much sweet they could actually pack in. Soon after, I sought out the infamous Brookie pan, which I cook with all the time to create treats. What I have found is that there are endless ways to make a Brookie, but some of those combinations score really big with my family. Often, it is not just about chocolate or a cookie, rather it is about combining the taste of both chocolate and cookies. Do you love when you get to combine cookies and brownies? I love the Brookie myself, and I have found a super easy rendition on this favorite creation from my baking headquarters, ALDI. Are you ready to reinvent the delicious cookie that offers you both sumptous chocolate and a delectable cookie all for the momentary binge of enjoyment? Grab those ALDI shopping carts and let’s grab the ingredients to make this simple Brookie. This combination is reminiscent of a girl scout samoa cookie mixed up with a bad boy chocolate brownie and from there you are just a rockstar baker in your kitchen. Get ready to make these by the dozen because they go by the handful! Lavishly live baking out loud for the love of chocolate and cookies.
Let’s Go Shopping for the Brookie At ALDI
Grab a package of Benton’s Cookies, these are Caramel Coconut Fudge and they put the YUM in Yummy and they will put the, ‘Hoorah’ into your Brookie. Make sure to purchase the Carlini Baking Spray for your Brookie Pan, as well as Carlini Pure Canola Oil, Baker’s Corner Fudge Brownies, Egg and that’s it, you are set to go!
1 Package of Caramel Coconut Fudge Cookies (you will need 6- enjoy the rest!)
1 Package of Baker’s Corner Fudge Brownies Traditional Chewy Mix (make according to directions)
I needed per the Brownie Package : 2/3 Cup of Oil(Carlini as photo’d above) 1/4 C Water and 2 Whole Large Eggs.
Pretreat your Brookie Pan with the Carlini Cooking Spray, place just enough batter to rim cookie, after you set cookie into place. Do not overfill as these ‘puff’ up a bit, as long as batter rims cookie you are fine.
This recipe hosts two desserts and combines them into one fantastic tasting delightful package! You are in need of brownie mix as well as cookies. You are combining what would be 2 separate desserts into one massive, special dessert that will have everyone grabbing for one. The size of each of these ends up to be the size of a donut, with a stuffed center, just so you have an idea. You can dust them with powdered sugar, or just serve them as is. I generally find which side looks better and place it right side up, but either side will do. Once your crew tastes these tasty little baked combinations you will never bake a basic brownie again!
This is what the Brookies look like as a final product, almost donut like, yet so much better tasting than any donut I have eaten. These are the perfect end to any meal and super easy to make as you can tell. This is the perfect way to end any holiday meal or they make great gifts.
Lavishly live the holidays out loud, and make sure to get your ingredients at ALDI, and create a little bit of heaven on earth with this dessert.
