If I had a wish to wish, it would be for a little bit of heaven in a jar. A time that I could actually just sit back, relax in my comfy, hole-ridden sweats and favorite Eddie Bauer tee and just be glutenous and indulge in rich, savory, cheesy cheesecake. The other half of the wish, though actually counter-productive for one who watches her weight so avidly, would be to sample many flavors. While you may want just one flavor, I thrive on variety and the 6 pack of Cheesecakes in a Jar that I sampled make my mouth happy and they will save your waist because they are portioned, just enough to fill that craving, but with tastes that will exceed anything you have ever eaten called, “cheesecake”
I am so far from being German, but my Italian eating habits give way when I eat one of Lee’s Decadence In A Jar, German Cheesecakes. The crust is the start of a spoonful of heaven that does not stop until the jar is empty! The crust is created of Chocolate Pecan Biscotti and is topped with a Coconut Oil and Coconut Liquor underlies a Sour Cream / Cream Cheese Cheesecake with a semi-sweet Chocolate Glaze on the sides pressed with sliced almonds and topped with a Shredded Coconut/Brown Sugar/Pecan ganache and finished off with a tossing of toasted coconut. Are you still not craving this undeniably, rich, most palatable dessert? What I can say is that this almost reminded me of a macaroon cookie that did not require anything more than a spoon, no crunching.
We tried out several other flavors as well including StrawNY Style, Savory Appetizer Bacon/Blue Cheese, El Diablo and more. The El Diablo is a spiced up little devil that will light up your crackers and your mouth with a fire that is both satisfying and crazy wicked! Crackers and Pitas will never be the same once they tango with the devil. The Bacon/Blue Cheesecake In A Jar is unparalelled in taste. My kids loved this spread on mini melba toasts. The cheesecakes are packaged in a custom-made wooden crate and come six to a crate. They are frozen when shipped, packed in a thermal cooler and have resuable gel packs. I received mine within a day via FedEx and within hours they were devoured! Lavishly live food out loud!
