Let’s catch you up a bit and refresh on “Dolphin Tale”. If you saw “Dolphin Tale”, you are already familiar with Winter. Winter is the the brave dolphin, whose miraculous rescue and rehabilitation was made possible by a groundbreaking prosthetic tail that led her to become a true symbol or perseverance around the world in the first movie and the story continues on for Winter in “Dolphin Tale 2.” The original cast will reunite for this movie including: Harry Connick, Jr, Ashley Judd, Nathan Gamble, Kris Kristofferson, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Austin Stowell, Austin Highsmith and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman.

Krisofferson plays Clay’s Father, Reed
Judd is Sawyer’s Mother , Lorraine
Stowell plays Sawyer’s cousin, Kyle
Zuehlsdorff is Clay’s Teen Daughter, Hazel

The story is based on true events and was filmed on location at the CMA. “Dolphin Tale” presented us with a remarkable dolphin named Winter, who Dr. McCarthy created a unique prosthetic tail for to save her life against all odds. After her prosthetic tail was functioning, people from far and wide came to the CMA to see this miracle and funding began to help “rescue, rehabilitate and, when possible, release” injured animals. A very inspiring first tale. Now, the battle is again on, as Winter’s surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama will pass away, and Winter will be alone, grieve and become very un-engaging. Sawyer can’t even communicate with her. Suddenly, due to the loss of Panama, CMA and Clay are advised by the USDA that they will have to move Winter from the aquarium because regulations are these animals must be paired. Will they be able to pair Winter up before times runs out? Is there HOPE?
