I have an ecophobia of Pittsburgh, but Michael does not.
Traveling allows me to rid the feeling! Now, the journey to Ireland is complete.
Here. Landed. The, “what now, what’s next” sentiment has settled in.
Our home away from home for a few days.
Not in Dublin City center, just about 10 minutes out.
Exhausted. Spent. Hungry.
Excited. Running on fumes. How will our day begin?
Should our day end?
Jetlagged, and in need of a shower, yet restless as though we have just eaten a carton of cotton candy and have a sugar rush.
Smiling faces greet ours and check-in at the Clontarf Castle is as easy as 1-2-3.
We’ve arrived at the Dublin Luxury Boutique Castle Hotel, which we’ve heard so much about and can’t wait to experience.
Stone walls, plush velvet chairs, knights in shining armor.
Yes, really a knight in shining armor
Huge glass terrariums shelter large candles.
Entranced from the intricacies of just our first steps into the Clontarf Castle Hotel, we seek refuge in our room, which has kindly been upgraded by management.
Dublin Luxury Boutique Castle Hotel
Thank you to the kind management staff for our upgrade and stay!
Front Desk And Check-In
Hassle-free check-in with 2 smiling team members.
A quick check-in, room keys provided and directions to our room.
Never have I been happier that the front desk staff does not want to stop and chat.
They want us to ‘rest’ from our long journey and “if you need anything, just ask!”
Mrs. Vento here… I’m thrilled and the elevator has my name on it.
Our bags have been delivered to our room, courtesy of the front desk.
Thank you all!
Our Room in the Clontarf Castle Hotel
I love it when I walk into a hotel and the television is the guide.
It was a way to quickly acclimate and we used it!
We’ve experienced this in Hotel LeVeque and many others, it is perfect and so welcoming.
Small things grab my attention!
Many people have told me stories about the castle hotel.
I’ve heard every side of the spectrum and I want MY OWN OPINION.
Clean? Yes, very.
Would I sleep on the pillows? I did and I did not put a towel on them.
What else? There were 4 towels, so I did not have to ASK for a Hair towel.
Someone knew me very well.
What All Is In our Boutique Castle Hotel Room?
I’ll be honest, there was more in this room than I anticipated.
The one item that really was a bonus was the phone, which I will discuss later.
Keep reading and looking at these photos, it’s gorgeous!
Our room offers 2 slanted windows with blinds and 2 window seats.
The television is on, and I’m so happy to see our name on the television!
Then I see the back part of the room.
A tea hot kettle with some tea bags. Yes, it’s time to unwind or is it?
We look outside again. Where is it? What are we looking at?
Where are we? Adventure is beckoning but so is the shower.
More Of The Room at the Boutique Castle Hotel
There are 2 storage closets, a few chairs, a desk, and a huge comfy bed.
Robes, slippers, and a bathroom filled with toiletries and towels.
Excitement leads to the desire to clean up and see if we have any energy left from our travels.
Showers lead to pajamas, after all, it’s bedtime in the USA and we’ve been traveling for over 18 hours!
I love the bench at the base of our bed. It’s great for sitting, and for placing some items out of my luggage on.
The Hallways of the Clontarf were richly decorated and you can see that in my video.
The Phone in our room.
When we discovered this amenity it made travel in Ireland light worlds easier.
From navigating to calling a cab, we had a cellular phone.
The Clontarf Castle Hotel provides these phones at no charge so you can navigate, call, and use while you are a guest.
Once you are done using it, you can WIPE It clean of all your info and not worry about it.
We, in fact, use the phone to navigate as we toured and locate cabs!
Things to Know about the Dublin Luxury Boutique Castle Hotel
We were about 10 minutes from the City Centre of Dublin.
Walking could have happened, but the rain kept happening and it was brisk.
A taxi was always available and under $15 to get into town.
Once in the city, we stayed as long as we could.
One day we walked to Dollymount and it was a great day.
The restaurants in the hotel were upscale and definitely dressy.
Dining in the Fahrenheit for dinner and brunch were 2 absolutely divine memories too!
On the property, there’s also a bar, which we visited too, of course.
Your question, would I stay here again if in Dublin? Yes.
It’s quiet, and the staff is ATTENTIVE and beyond cordial.
Rooms are well cared for, and clean. ~ Dana XO
