Chances are you are getting ready for a houseful of kids, because school is about to let out for a small break! I have been cooking and prepping because I know my kids eat, eat and eat more when they are off of school. I often compare my kids to little vacuum cleaners because they suck everything in their path up into their bellies! Here’s my tale of lavishly living food out loud with a simple to prepare and very please potato recipe!
Easy To Prepare Potato Snacks
As you might recall I have a child with lots of allergies so I have to get really creative in crafting basic foods that he can enjoy along with everyone else! This is one recipe that the kids just keep on enjoying, because it is nut free, shellfish free, etc. (this is not dairy free please note)
Potatoes are really versatile and filling, I suppose that is why I purchase them each week when I shop! I also love how simple potatoes are to prepare, from boiling to microwaving they are a perfect ingredient to cook with! My kids have been eating me out of house and home lately and I try to get ahead of them with snacks that are good, nutritious and easy to prepare, and this one has them asking for more daily!
If you are a fan of Bakes Potato Skins these will intrigue you, but they are not fried!
Clean and Microwave a potato
Allow it to cool when it comes out of the microwave, just a minute
Smash it with a fork
Smear the Bacon Dip on and Sprinkle the cheese.
The heat of the potato will make everything mix perfectly and you will have a perfect bake potato skin to munch on! Your cost, a bag of potatoes, a bag of cheese and a container of dip! These are super easy to make and my new teen is having a great time preparing these because there is simply not much to it! Lavishly food out loud with this easy to create recipe!
