It’s five o’clock and the it’s time to feed. The troops are lining up. Are you ready to fill those plates or are you scurrying around and getting ready to give in to a fast food run? Save your budget, save your sanity and save the waistlines of our children, cook smart, be prepared and test out this recipe! I will admit, this recipe turns out fabulous each time I cook it in my 360 Gourmet Slow Cooker but it is the most sound investment I think I have ever made, as it even cooks better than a crock pot. The meat that comes out of this pot is fork tender and always pleases my family. This is an easy-t0-create recipe that you can add universal sides to such as potatoes, pasta or rice and veggies, in order to create a well-rounded meal. If you enjoy a Gluten Free diet you will also love this recipe as it is tried and true and Gluten Free.
Grab your slow cooker, or crock pot and get ready to amaze your family with a delicious steak-like meal.
This is simple, but the amount of liquid will vary depending what YOU cook in. My 360 slow cooker takes very little liquid to create moist, cuts of meat, but slow cookers do tend to take a bit more so adjust as necessary. The basic ingredients on this will allow you to create the same meat as I made, just with your own tweaking on measurements. This meat should not be cooked fast as it will dry out and bounce like a rubber ball!
I keep a cheap old bottle of red wine around always for adding to my meats an sauces, so you definitely want to do this too, it will make tough meat soft and the flavor is outstanding.
For this recipe I simply used
1 Tsp Of Pepper
1/2 C Red Wine
Meat (1#)
I covered it and the meat cooked and when it was done 2 hours later it was fork tender and got great reviews from my family. I have prepared this recipe over and over for the last 2 years and I am proud to say it is a household favorite. This is an easy-to-prepare meat recipe that I hope you too will enjoy.
