I am not sure how many times we watched Finding Nemo and how many lines we memorized, because my kids LOVED that movie. I do believe that Dory was the most fun character we had seen to date as her lack of ‘being there’ was always made up for by her next line. Marlin has made friends with a fish that did not even realize her potential because she pretty much did not remember her world, lol! Remembering all the fun we had when Finding Nemo premiered, I am quite excited for Finding Dory and all the animation that is about to just take the animation world by storm, after all, it is Disney Pixar Animation!
Finding Dory is fun from start to finish, a movie-goer must, to catch up on Nemo’s life, to join in to all the under the sea fun and of course to celebrate the aquatic sport of escaping from places that they should not have wandered into to begin with. Lavishly live the upcoming summer fun of Finding Dory, as she swims into theaters near you.
It’s A Dory Thing
This time, Dory is remembering just enough about her mom and dad to get her into a bit of trouble. Her memories pull at her to go and seek out her parents. What she does not consider is the danger she could be in, or how she is going to accomplish this. Unfortunately, Marlin will make a bad call, that Nemo won’t let him soon forget and the movie just explodes with fun from there.
Finding Dory successfully picks up where Finding Nemo left off, bringing you back to the old story line and into a new one. Interestingly enough, and done quite well, you never feel like you skipped a beat since the years gone by of Finding Nemo to this new tale of Finding Dory. I love that easy transition, so if I felt it, I am sure you all will feel it, kids and adults alike.
Dory is her fun, sparky adventurous self and Marlin will come to a life-altering revelation at the end, so stay tuned. The animation will astound you and the new characters in the movie are just as beloved as those from Finding Nemo.
Nemo has turned into one great kid, always a friend, always there to support and certainly up for an adventure, it is no wonder he and Dory get along so well.
Destiny the whale, is Dory’s ‘pipe friend’ and I won’t ruin this part, but it truly is cute. Dory does not notice anything that makes Destiny less than perfect and that makes them perfect pals.
Bailey the Beluga Whale, who resides at the Marine Life Institute (again, not giving away plot). Bailey is over-the-top dramatic, but…. really a vested, caring friend.
Hank – everyone needs a Hank in their life. This octopus, really a ‘septopus’ may not appear the most friendly at the beginning but he is all about escaping out of the Marine Life Institute. His escape ticket is something Dory will have. Does Hank want a friend? Nope, but with hanging around Dory is there anything else we could expect other than someone becoming her friend as her personality is magnetic.
Honestly not sure how many different containers Hank carried Dory around in, but I will tell you it was funny!
Someone Show Me Sigourney Weaver Please
You will understand this once you see the movie, but I needed to see Sigourney Weaver to make my night complete! When I first heard her name in the movie, I thought perhaps I was missing something and then it all came together.
