The Golden Rule Of Eating: Eat Breakfast Like A King, Lunch Like A Prince, and Dinner Like A Pauper.
What good is a morning without a good breakfast? You have to fuel up good to have a good day. The breakfast bar commercial that shows people’s butts that are donuts because they eat a donut cracks me up but definitely reminded me to keep my good diet habits and to teach the same. The Golden Rule of eating is one we adhere to strictly as we don’t want our waistlines strictly adhering to our pants and creating muffin top! My latest challenge has been feeding 2 of 3 children with severe food allergies meals that everyone can consume or meals that I can mimic so that everyone has pretty much the same foods on their plates, keeping mom sane and kids happy! Gluten Free food preparation has by far been the hardest change I have had to instill into my kitchen wizardry as I really have to think about everything I am preparing and make sure there is NO Gluten in it as there is nor room for error. My results have been pretty good to date, I do have those recipes that fail and I would never repeat, but the problem is I am trying to imitate what someone else made rather than just sticking to foods we would normally eat and subbing in the right ingredients. I do believe that is key. Here is my Gluten Free Creamy Beef on Toast recipe that has been kid tested and approved! I do believe this would be good for either breakfast or dinner, depending on your portions! As a side note, we do not have dairy allergens, so this recipe may not work for all that are gluten free.
