Ho-hum, it’s time for back to school right? The summer should not be ending, the endless days of fun need to stay and the moments that we just get to kick back and savor need to be here forever! While it is not possible to slow down time, it is possible to shop and find great tech for back to school.
As my kids get ready for the most dreaded time of the year, I help them by finding great tech which makes them actually look forward to heading back into the classroom. What tech is important to Kindergarten students to college bound kids? In fact, tech varies at every level and it should.
As any responsible parent knows, you don’t just hand a child of any age a phone, limits need to be set! Here are my tips for finding great back to school tech for every age, and lavishly living this chaotic time of year out loud!
Great Back To School Tech For Every Age
As a mom of three, I am all about tech and back to school. and I am always seeking the best of the best to keep your current. Today’s post is a sponsored post on behalf of Verizon Wireless, but all opinions and thoughts are my own. You know that I only share what makes life easier to lavishly live out loud and today I have some awesome ideas for kids from Kindergarten to College.
Back To School Tech For Every Age – Kindergarten
These up and coming grade-schoolers are definitely meeting tech head on, but the best way to intro them to tech is slowly and in a manner that you are still in control of what comes in and goes out (we know how short-lived these years are, eye roll here!)
The GizmoGadget™ is the perfect Kindergartener tech piece for limiting what goes on in their tech world, however, it lets them become savvy to the means. This little piece is perfect because it is not only waterproof but drop proof and kids are just prone to getting things wet and dropping them at this age. Take out the worry and concern and give them the tech that meets the daily challenges right?
Still not sold on this? Here’s a little more info to help you understand what you are getting when you buy this. The child can get calls from those you preprogram into their device and they can call the numbers you have preprogrammed in, but no further, see setting limits matters! In addition, they can receive text messages (short ones) from those you program in as well. Again, you are in control from start to finish, but you can also communicate with them and let them break into our exciting and scary world of tech at this gentle age!

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL
It’s that time when the conversation turns to “hey mom and dad, all the other kids have them and we want one!” It’s smartphone time and iPhones are really a go-to choice for so many parents for their kids. From the ease of use to multiple downloadable apps that keep everybody in touch, the iPhone is all about keeping your kids connected to you and their friends. Texting, calling, Facetime and so many other fun uses, including SnapChat, IG, FB, everything that the kids are craving can be done from this phone!
The kids have played with your phones, want to chat it up with their friends and landlines are a thing of the past! Cover the iPhone with a reliable case like an Otterbox because these phones are NOT Dropproof! As a side note if you give a kid a phone, a great add-on during the holidays will be an Apple Watch, so let the tech obsession keep on growing right?
Where To Find: I have notated that Verizon Wireless has many iPhones to choose from including the iPhone 7 as well as iPhone® 6 (Certified Pre-Owned) at great ‘grab me’ prices!
Great Back To School Tech For Every Age: HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE
This age is tough because these students mostly all have smartphones already, but they need more ways to stay in touch, complete assignments, and stream. Smartphones are simply too small to watch stuff other than YouTube on (and that’s pushing it too), so this group needs tablets and convertible laptop tablets.
iPads are the perfect solution to streaming and grabbing needed content from the internet, so for some in high school, the iPad is the best choice. Who has a teen that is obsessed with YouTube or perhaps a Vlogger they follow religiously? They love their phones, but wouldn’t a bigger screen be grand? Absolutely is the answer. Homework and the internet are perfect together and the iPad is a great tool to help accomplish this as well since you are after all buying this to help your student do more work.
Conversely, those in college or headed into college need the luxury of changing out a tablet into a laptop and that tech is available as well. What happens when you give a college student a tech device they can use for every facet of their life? You get a college student who is well-versed in tech and ready to step it up, here’s the all-out incredible laptop-to-tablet that converts on the fly!
Buy The College Student A Convertible
Don’t shake your head, trust me, you will want one too! This is a convertible laptop to tablet Galaxy Book and it rocks tech. Powered by Windows 10, and an INTEL CORE i5 Processor it is everything tech should be and it is! The keyboard and pen connect without effort and you can surf the internet, stream, take it with you every and anywhere and suddenly your student will be super productive (ok so no promises, but it’s worth a try!!)
Ready-Set-Go with Great Back To School Tech For Every Age
Get excited, and remember, going back to school is not just about pens, pencils, and paper, it is about how we stay connected when we are not together and how quickly our kids can grab information that they need to do their work both in and out of school. While you might not have considered tech before we are in the time where tech is our life and you trailblaze when you have the right stuff in your hands, on your person, and in those backpacks.
Remember head to your local Verizon store to find all the latest and the greatest, that’s what we did! Lavishly live tech out loud and get ready for those iPhone alarms to sound because School is about to happen!
