Have Old Mobile Phones? Read This

August 4, 2014 By Dana Vento Leave a Comment

Are you cleaning out while the kids are home? How about are you packing up a teen to send off to college? Did you find a box with a few old cell phones in them and wonder how in the world they were really ever in your possession? I think it is so funny to run into old technology and look at it compared to the new pieces we tote around, there is just no comparison to the advancement and the size.  It is amazing to see how technology has evolved over the last few years.  My bigger question to myself is why am I still in possession of an ancient piece that does not function yet takes up space in my home? Since we are in clean up, clean out mode I began searching for a great solution to getting rid of the old, unwanted, unused mobile phones, tablets, MP3 players and a way to cash-in on them rather than just tossing them away and I found it.  Here is how I lavishly live life out loud, and make money on my old tech devices.

ecoATM is the  nationwide network of automated electronic recycling kiosks located in shopping malls and select Walmart stores.  I earn cash payments for unwanted mobile phones, tablets and MP3 players that would otherwise end up in landfills which makes me very happy because then I can shop a bit more till I drop with what I earn, eve if it is only $1!  We are living in a new world, one that the landfills need to be cared for and rather than sending more to the landfills,  ecoATM has recycled more than 500,000 pounds of devices in its four-year history—that includes more than 2 million individual devices, 70,000 pounds of copper and over 1,500 pounds of silver. The theme of living greener, and gaining a little green is perfectly ‘echoed’  with the ecoATM’s.

Clearing out the clutter from your home is really easy, and taking care of the environment can all be achieved in one easy transaction: a trip to the ecoATM.  The whole process takes less than a minute and you will walk away with some cash and the great feeling that you did not just toss the phone into the trash.  Before you start this process at the ecoATM the phone must be free of phone cases and earphones, etc.

The machine automatically identifies and evaluates the item.  You place a sticker(provided by the ecoATM) on the back of the device and place it into the ecoATM station.  The station then begins to identify the piece and searches for the best possible price out there in order to provide you with instant cash.  Next you will connect the device to the power cable that is provided by the ecoATM and it will further evaluate the phone.  Once it evaluates your phone, it then determines the price you will be given if you decide to put the phone with ecoATM.  You can donate the money or you can cash out for yourself.  Each device is provided to a new home or is placed at the proper place for recycling.  Get ready to transform your tech into cash.

There has never been an easier way to clean up and cash in on your old tech.  You can lavishly live life out loud, and become more green by protecting Mother Earth from more landfill.  Cash in, and clean out with the ecoATM.
