Each holiday as a child I received new books and I was always excited to read and see where the next adventures between the pages would take me. While I have grown up I still enjoy the gift of reading. I know my childhood reading contributed to my love of writing and I know that my children love books as well.
We read stories to our children every night before bed until they learn to read by themselves and now they read nightly as an ongoing experience. Reading enriches lives, deepens our knowledge and provides us adventures around the corner and far away.
This year, I am providing a list for the holidays and the gift of reading because I believe every child should have a new book for a gift. Lavishly live holidays and the gift of reading out loud with a quick overview of a few chosen books.
