I’d like to thank the folks at HoneyBaked Ham for today’s discussion of easy food prep for the holidays, because they sure do know how to throw a great party without the work. Phewwwww, I am sure glad we made it out of Thanksgiving and survived all those pushing and shoving from being in the shopping zones as we grabbed those great deals on Black Friday. I have to tell you, I am not looking forward to cooking for the next holiday as Christmas usually means a general gathering of people over the course of a day and it is hard to prepare foods that can match that visiting intensity. I would actually be cooking all day long if I tried to keep up with the cooking schedule during Christmas Day, so I have taken upon a lavish fix that helps me out. I don’t prepare a bunch of meals, and I am not a chained to my oven, and microwave all day long, in fact, I am the Wii U Champion as I play against my kids, and I am a social queen as my guests arrive because I have HoneyBaked Ham helping me out! I can create a great looking plate, fixed up with all the perfect sides, and desserts and never break a sweat, because I planned ahead, ordered my HoneyBaked Ham from my McKnight Road location in Pittsburgh, and saved myself tons of time and shopping! Are you ready to lavishly live live out loud during the holiday season and never miss a toast, a cheer or a gift being opened because you are not spending time in the kitchen other than eating, here’s how. This is my favorite gold piece during the holiday season, there is no other gift that makes the holidays easier!
Once you get passed the foil, there is even a better treat than the no work, it is the contents inside that are simply divine. Have a look.
This is ready to be plated, served and devoured and it makes your job so much easier. Add a few of these delectable, Heat & Share Sides and all you have to do is warm them in the oven, there is no work involved. I opened the packages and baked them the way you see them trayed up below. There is not putting them in containers, you bake right what they came in, which makes this holiday prep so easy. I followed the baking temperatures and it was easy. My only suggestion, is to hold the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding back and offer it as a dessert, because once my family tasted it, they would not stop eating it and I wanted them to eat the rest of their meal, so it is kind of addictive(lol)!
Sides are perfect during the holidays especially for those who don’t want to eat to much and offering up a few different sides makes you an even more considerate hostess! HoneyBaked Ham has plenty to choose from.
The Sweet Potato Souffle is actually a meal on it’s own and if you put the side of Bananas Foster Bread Pudding with it, you have a dessert and a meal, just saying… The Herb Stuffing is perfect for making those leftover sandwiches the next day. You take a bit of Stuffing, a piece of ham and place it all on the sandwich and you will have the most moist sandwich you have ever eaten. I can not take credit for the name, because that came from Monica on the sitcom FRIENDS but I can tell you have been making it for 20+ years and it’s YUMILICIOUS!
Here’s a great add-in to the Potatoes Au Gratin if you have any left-over: simply take a scoop of the Potatoes Au Gratin, add a scrambled egg and heat, you won’t believe, what a great breakfast that makes for your stay over guests and when you add a slice of ham it’s like a decadent meal service with again, no effort! All you had to do was serve a HoneyBaked Ham dinner and sides and you suddenly have a Honey-rifffic morning!
As for dessert, this was our crown jewel, look at the golden splendor of this amazing pumpkin pie, which I never had to cook! Place it on a nice serving tray or a green, red or gold charger and let it be devoured.
