You know how it is, you are work each day, the kids need toted from place to place and the dates on the calendars are just numbers that increase with each passing day, however, the numbers that are getting away are actually your official countdown to Thanksgiving. As busy parents, we all want clean homes, great meals and things to go just right during the holidays but sometimes time just passes us up. What if there were a way to have to focus, just on the house, rather than the food and the house, or just on the family and friends you have coming over, and again not on the preparation of food? What if the food could taste as good, and probably better(because we did not have to prepare it)? I honestly don’t know how our parents did meal creation while entertaining, it just seems impossible. If I stand still to sip on my glass of wine I could have been stirring gravy, if I stop to enjoy the munchies, the turkey needs basted, I simply don’t have enough hands. Lavishly living life out loud means that I understand there is give and take during the holidays and my take is picking up freshly prepared, Ham, Turkey, Side Dishes and Desserts from Honeybaked Ham while the give is me giving in to cleaning my home before guests arrive. Here’s how you can lavishly live the Holidays out loud and enjoy your time out of the kitchen and in a chair, talking with your guests rather than talking in between food preparation.
I picked up my phone, after reading the online menu for my Honeybaked Ham and I ordered, a turkey, a ham, a few sides and of course desserts, when I got off the phone, I had a glass of wine to say “cheers to me for rocking Thanksgiving dinner preparation without breaking a sweat!” My local store is just a few miles from my home, so traveling to the McKnight Road location is a breeze. After I celebrated I broke out the steamer, vacuum, cleaning sprays and went to work to get my house ready to party for the holidays and I blasted a little music. This year I did not do the Gobble Gobble Dance, you know the one, running around like a turkey with it’s head cut off(lol), sorry folks, a bit slap happy here, that I am not cooking! I let the mop dance across the floor and I beamed from ear-to-ear because I just had to make the counters and the house look nice and my pots and pans would not be making an appearance this holiday-woot woot woot. I took a front parking spot and loaded up!
Let’s Talk HAM- HoneyBaked
I add a little bit more to our Thanksgiving meal with a bit of ham, so those that are not turkey addicts grab up the ham and they love it! Honeybaked spiral slices it making it perfect to eat It is delectable, and cooked to perfection. Never once did I baste, foil, get pinched with cloves, or travel to the grocery store for items I forgot to create the basting sauce. You know what I did? I scrubbed a kitchen counter, wiped off my plates and set out the silveware and never broke a sweat~ Lavish right?
The Turkey- HoneyBaked
Basting is this 9-5 job that no one wants and we all get stuck with. By the time the turkey is done cooking, I am ready for my second shower of the day, because I can’t stand smelling like I was as baked as that bird in the oven. Every time you open the pan, you gets greeted with steam and a warm mist of turkey that I can do without, after all there are no proprietary youthful elements for skincare in the steam(lol). The hardest part of this Turkey day was getting dressed to get in the car and drive to my local HoneyBaked Ham company. My turkey is cooked, ready to serve, sliced and no senseless injuries from cooking, from burns to greasy cleanup. The meat is cooked to perfection and all I have to do is tray it up, there is just nothing easier than HoneyBaked Turkey, unless of course you do nothing, which is pretty much what I did. I simply ordered and then drove to the McKnight Road store, and trayed it up, and this is lavish living at its maximum!
