Every week while we sit in church my kids and I listen to our priest and what he has to say. It seems that week after week the same thoughts are stated, ” please find a way to give back to your community.” There are so many ways we have found to give back to our community but with the season of perpetual bliss upon us, we need to learn more about how to give back during the holidays. For our family it is about working at the church to wrap gifts, accepting donations and spend time giving selflessly. Stocking a food pantry and donating to a food pantry, donations to a giving tree are other things we have done to give back during the holidays. It’s not just one way, we work in multiple ways to feel good about helping others because that is what the season is about.
Consider how many ways there are to give back during the holidays. Whether you are donating canned goods, giving presents to a giving tree, donating food to a food drive or even your time at a soup kitchen, it is all giving back and lovely.

Clean out your closets, donate and take charge. The holidays are the neediest time of year for so many families, clean your closets, gather old coats that don’t fit, warm mittens and clothing and donate. It’s a great way to clean up, out and help others in need.
Work At A Food Bank
If you can, work at a food bank, take the kids, let your children see how fortunate they are and experience the feeling of giving back to a community, digging in and donating something more valuable than money… the gift of time.
