how to give back during the holidays, donating, food, food pantries, church, gifting, gifting time, give, children, families, donate clothing, donate time, pay it forward, holidays, christmas

Every week while we sit in church my kids and I listen to our priest and what he has to say. It seems that week after week the same thoughts are stated, ” please find a way to give back to your community.”  There are so many ways we have found to give back to our community but with the season of perpetual bliss upon us, we need to learn more about how to give back during the holidays.  In reality, it is not just the holidays that the spirit of giving entices us, it is year through that we want to pay goodness forward.

Have you ever considered how to give back during the holidays and throughout the year? Lavishly live life out loud, feeling fulfilled and giving back.

How To Give Back During The Holidays

For our family it is about working at the church to wrap gifts, accepting donations and spend time giving selflessly.  Stocking a food pantry and donating to a food pantry, donations to a giving tree are other things we have done to give back during the holidays.  It’s not just one way, we work in multiple ways to feel good about helping others because that is what the season is about.

Consider how many ways there are to give back during the holidays.  Whether you are donating canned goods, giving presents to a giving tree, donating food to a food drive or even your time at a soup kitchen, it is all giving back and lovely.

How to give back during the holidays is not a hard project for any person or family to undertake in fact it can be as simple as downloading a Photo app, or making a purchase from a catalog.  Let’s learn more.

DONATE

Clean out your closets, donate and take charge. The holidays are the neediest time of year for so many families, clean your closets, gather old coats that don’t fit, warm mittens and clothing and donate. It’s a great way to clean up, out and help others in need.

Work At A Food Bank

If you can, work at a food bank, take the kids, let your children see how fortunate they are and experience the feeling of giving back to a community, digging in and donating something more valuable than money… the gift of time.

It’s the holidays and it is important to not only do good for your family but for others that need you as well. You won’t understand the feeling until you have tried it. A simple time donation of 2 hours will go far and benefit many. Lavishly live life out loud and give back during the holidays.

It’s important to find ways that we can give back during the holidays (all the time actually) as not many people are as fortunate as us.

Haven’t heard of Donate a Photo App but I will definitely check this out. It’s important to also teach kids to pay it forward. Taught them to donate old clothes and toys to orphanage specially at this time of year.

This is definitely the right way to “give back”. I love JnJ’s, they’re really living up to their name with causes like this. Plus, the activities sound fun!

That Donate a Photo through an app is just what I’ve always wanted to be a part of! Not surprising that a generous company such as Johnson’s is part of it.

We had our own way of donating to the less fortunate. Giving back to what we have is a very important thing for me because I know that was one of our main purpose in life. Thank you for sharing this post for everyone to know that there is a lot of ways to share and to be merry.
