I ❤ Room Service on Carnival Sunshine

August 26, 2016 By Dana Vento 32 Comments

The days are endless when we cruise, and I somehow never grow tired. We walk around the ship, up and down steps, we swim, gamble, take-in shows, eat, grab drinks, shop, play hard, hang out, watch sunsets and then sleep.

We like to cruise where there are less days at sea and more days at Ports Of Call. More often than not, on mornings in port, we are up and at it.  As you  might recall, our shore excursion bags are prepped the night before, and our biggest job is getting the kids up (good luck with this, they get more tired than we do!) and eating before we head off the ship.

My son as you know has food allergies, so he must eat before we get off the ship because it could be a long time before he gets food again if we are headed out on an excursion.

I ❤ Room Service on Carnival Sunshine because it lets me lavishly live waking up out loud, and take in the breathtaking sunrise. I ❤ Room Service because it allows my days of travel to be so lazy yet filled with events because I start my day at my pace as I am ready in my room.

Room Service And Why To  ❤ It On The Carnival Sunshine

There is nothing like room service right? Food sent to your room, while you are still in bed, and just lounging.  The biggest thing I hear from my friends when they head out to hotels for a ‘Night’ with their husbands is they indulged in Room Service.

Of course in most places, hotels, etc. Room Service is an extra cost, so of course it is a true indulgence, but, when you buy your cruise package you also have Room Service included! Now if that makes you jump out of your skin, you might jump further when you hear some examples on the menu. Don’t even think Carnival would skimp on the offerings, it is so far from the truth.

I love the fresh fruit and the coffee service in the morning, but remember you do have to answer the door!

Ordering Room Service

I left my order on the door, they picked it up each night and 15 minutes before I had listed, my door knocked and there was my coffee and fruit and my excuse to hang on the balcony in my robe with my hubby, and enjoy the sunrise.  There are other offerings, but I want to leave some things a mystery for you, telling all is never good, but knowing that you can pamper and indulge is priceless!

carnival sunshine, room service, food, dining, rise and shine, food to room, menu, dana ventoThis was the perfect way to start each day, quietly, waterside, and with personal, indulgent service.  I lavishly lived cruising out loud and this is why I ❤ Room Service on Carnival Sunshine because even on a ship of over 3,000 passengers you can be secluded and pampered!

Begin a day of fun with a leisurely morning unwind and start the day with a smile and a bit of special service to remind you: You are on a cruise and every minute is a true blessing.  Lavishly live cruising out loud and indulge in all that your cruise-ship has to offer as you sail the high seas!

Room service is seriously one of those luxuries that I LOVE to indulge in…especially breakfast! And I love the idea of it on a cruise even more. What a lovely way to take in the view while enjoying your coffee! Nice that they cater to allergies, too!

I’m hoping to take a cruise with my whole family sometime within the next couple of years. We also travel with food allergies — and picky eaters. Room Service would be like a touch of heaven on earth!

I travel with food allergies too. It is getting better, but it is still hard to do! I wish there was a travel agency or group for us – like your son and me! Looks like the Carnival room service had a good selection though – I would love to travel on them sometime!

Awe, traveling with food allergies is awful. I keep advocating and writing about it, putting my son out there as a poster boy of a food allergies.. having been turned away by so many establishments, it is a blessing to find those that will work with us. Unfortunate that in this day and age, it is hard to still find ‘old reliable’ to eat at.. Good luck to you as well. Keep checking back I have lots of allergen friendly places that i write about

Room service is a must for our family! We took a cruise last year and that for sure was a life savor for my family. Our cruise had 24/7 room service and it was way nice.

I love everything about cruising. I will call down for room service the night before and ask them to send up some coffee in a carafe. It stays hot until the morning and when I wake up I can have a hot cup of coffee with no waiting!

Sounds amazing! My hubby and I have never been on a cruise and he stated he will never go on one. He’s not fond of the idea of being restricted to a ship. The closest experience we have had with amazing room service was when we went to Punta Cana for my daughter’s destination wedding. We stayed at the Excellence Resort and it was truly excellent!
