The Quote That Tells All
“Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account.” – Oscar Wilde
When it comes down to a new year and happy new year wishes, it’s not about what you can do with resolutions but more what you already have that is bankable.
Everything starts and ends with YOU.
So, it’s time to take stock, and build up that account and work with YOU.
Not resolutions, but truly working with all the resources that you already are made up of.
Keep your temper in check, your smile on, and decisions un-hasty.
Create lists, be grateful for those in your life that is a positive force, and well for those that are not, it’s time to flush the toilet of them.
“This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change.” – Taylor Swift
Happy New Year Wishes Begin When You Flush The Crap And Cleanse the Bowl ~
Negativity is like crap, it needs to be flushed away because it impacts who you are.
Whether you realize it or not, negative energy sucks the life right out of you.
In fact, you might dream about issues and how you could have tackled them.
Be up front, truthful, and address the Crap.
If it’s not making you feel good about YOU or your life, ditch it.
Ain’t no one got time for BS.
Family, Friends, and Issues
It’s hard for me to preach to anyone about this, as I a member of the ‘issues’ crew.
Sometimes when you have done everything you have been asked to do, and yet the other person still is praised like they are a prized peach, MOVE ON!
One thing is certain: we all have issues in some form or another.
For some of us, it’s harder than others to move forward.
When someone has done you wrong, can you turn your cheek and let it be?
Or perhaps when you want things to go back to how they were before you KNEW whatever you found out that has crushed your relationship with your friends and family, can it happen?
Life Ain’t Pretty ~I Get It
Live up to who you THINK you should be, not who people want you to be.
Acceptance should never be what others THINK you should be but with you accepting who you are.
Maximize your FORCE.
Love that person back in the mirror.
IF you have strayed away from the good path, find it, and travel back down it.
You can find joy, happiness, and friendship in places you never thought you might.
Always be open to change and when things don’t seem right, withdraw and rethink.
Place a value on things that are said and done.
Allow that value to let you figure out which way you should go.
For those that have had reprehensible issues with family and friends step away.
Maybe this year it’s time for a breather.
Trust me, I’ve taken a long breather from a venomous snake in my family and there is NO shame in saying it.
Leave poison behind and form new ‘positive’ relationships first with yourself and then with others.
Let whatever you disliked GO.
Paper And Pencil Allow You To Create A Fruitful New Year
TO move forward into a new year is like a cleansing, a purge.
IN order to get this right, write down anything that made you upset.
Then, write down everything that made you happy.
Write down 5 things you love about yourself.
Then find 5 things you would like to improve about yourself.
Put this list on a Mirror that you look at every day, it’s your reminder of a New Year, New You.
A New Year With The Same Habits Gets You NOTHING
Resolutions are great but they generally fall short.
Instead of resolutions, just try to change some of your habits.
If you are a ‘Yes’ person, say ‘No’ once in a while.
For those that never volunteer, try it.
Conversely, if you give selfishly all the time, find some YOU time.
That said if you overtalk while your friends talk, stop talking.
Happy New Year Wishes For Anyone That Needs Them
In a like manner, if you shop too much and make credit card debt, stop shopping and start saving.
For those that have never donated items you have, try it.
Clean items out, donate, it feels amazing.
Purge instead of hoard.
Give instead of taking.
Kiss instead of Hug.
Hug instead of shaking hands.
Drink water instead of Wine (OMG I can’t say that without cringing).
Donate instead of tossing.
Clean instead of letting yuck build up.
Cook instead of ordering out and save yourself some money.
Order out instead of cooking to give yourself a break.
Do the dishes tonight so you wake up to a clean kitchen.
Let the dishes go in the morning so you have some free time.
How To Help Others and give them Happy New Year Wishes
Buy a coffee for the person behind you.
Send coffee to the local police station.
Order from a restaurant and TIP big.
Smile at EVERYONE you see.
Wave at people you might know instead of moving out of the way so they don’t see you.
Send a text that reminds people they are important.
Buy pet food and donate it to a shelter.
Remember a card or scratch tickets for our mail carrier or garbage collectors.
Compliment someone on their child, but only say things that are true.
Offer to help someone load their groceries, or help someone by opening a door. (just sanitize your hands before and after)
Bring a meal to an older person that might not have been visited in a while.
Put the phone down while you are in the company of others, show them, THEY Matter.
Spread happiness, not rumors.
Don’t forget the past, but let it help you BLOSSOM into a Better Person
Always look at the past.
Remember who you were, keep the good pieces, and build on them and rid the bad.
The past is your building block to the future.
Likewise, remember that you are the start and ending point of EVERYTHING that happens and you let happen in your life.
Don’t build walls around yourself and if your door, make sure there are plenty of doors.
Windows let light in and so do your smiles.
Challenge yourself to do things differently and better.
Take stock of your life, and blossom.
And Happy New Year Wishes For You
May love triumph over hate.
Here’s to hoping that sorrow, sadness, and troubles are left behind.
Hopefully, new opportunities blossom.
Never stop growing, let your heart soften.
Remember life will always be full of ups and downs but ride it like a rollercoaster.
Get out, and OWN it.
Cheers to love, laughter, peace, happiness, good health and wealth, family, and friends. ~ Dana XO
