It’s funny how the kids get new things they love and then suddenly, somewhere in the aftermath of getting them back to school and back into activities, they start ‘losing’ pieces that belong to them. When you have multiple kids that wear the same sizes, close sizes or kids in sports or even those that travel it is important to have their clothes labeled and ready to be returned before they go lost! As a mom of 3, I am always looking for the best way to tag and mark their clothing because it would seem that gym locker room, sports rooms at the arenas we travel to, and school lockers somehow have this marvelous power: the power to take clothing away, making it mysteriously disappear into depths unknown of bags, other people’s bags and the lost and found. Get ready to become a Label Works Diva and label away with my latest trending find that is not only fun but the perfect way to mark clothing without making it noticeable! Lavishly live marking clothing and belongings out loud!
Label Those Clothes
A few weeks ago, there was a notice sent out that someone had left a pair of hockey pants behind, but because all the boys were just about the same size, and we all ordered from the same company, there were no differentiating marks on the pants so they did not know who to contact, hence the whole team got notice. That being said, everyone rousted through their kid’s bags and someone did take possession of the missing pair. This whole mess could have been avoided, 16 parents looking for one pair of pants, if everyone just used the tool I have: AN Epson LabelWorks Iron-On Kit.
The Epson LabelWorks Iron-On Kit
Why do I love this kit? Let me count the ways:) First of all, I am a total label junkie, which means that I love to label things and I am addicted to typing in and changing fonts, frames and designs and never making the same label twice! The ease of application will make you wonder where this tool was when we were younger. No sewing and no glue necessary, all you will need is a hot iron!
The Epson LabelWorks Kit
If you look at the labels above each person can pick little clipart they love and you can frame it like I did with the name Niko and MikeMan. These were all cracking me up. So How do you get these labels into the clothing?
Polyester, Cotton, Linen these are all waiting to be ironed-on. It is super easy, just set the iron to the right temperature as listed in the directions and pretty much set it where you want it, and press down on the iron. You will be placing the label with the printed side up. Press the iron firmly and hold it still and then you will have a perfectly placed label, that does not bleed or wash off!
Here are things you want to know about this particular product:
1) There are 14 font types and 10 font styles
2) There is a built in memory to save up to 30 label designs(yes I save them because kids are creatures of habit even when choices are available)
3) Prints up to TWO lines of text
4) Works with iron-on tape or sticky labels and printable ribbons!
5) The peeling off is easy because it automatically prints with a split back.
6) Accommodates tapes from 6mm to 12mm wide.
