The wave jumping and pool diving have ceased for the day, it is late afternoon and it is time to head out to the Medieval Times Dinner Show. Ringside seats are calling our name and a four course meal fit for royalty is ready to be served, will you be joining? There is a silence in the air before the jousting begins, horsemanship and falconry unlike any you have ever witness before, and then there is the meal! Did you know that the Medieval Times is a family show? The entertainment includes live stallions and falcons performing unbelievable feats while the knights offer jousting that will have you thrilled and cheering, just don’t spill our drinks while pounding! As the sun begins to set, and families all return to their rooms to get ready for the fun at night that the Myrtle Beach Area offers for families we are already out and headed to Medieval Times Myrtle Beach Area, to eat, drink and of course cheer on the Knights. In fact my WHOLE family is going because they serve vegetarian meals, meat meals and even my son with food allergies can dine at the Medieval Times Myrtle Beach. Are you ready to lavishly living Medieval Times Myrtle Beach out loud as it is the perfect family destination that serves up food and entertainment all in one stop!
We were cheering for the Blue Knight this evening and I have to tell you, his skills were superior. When the Blue Knight hooked a loop from his jousting bar, horseback, we were simply in awe as only 2 of the 6 knights accomplished this task. From the time the tournament begins to the time it ends, the action and command of the artistry is something that will leave you craving more and more and appreciating the specialty of their skill. Be seated and treated like royalty by your servers. Yes you are in long tables and there are many other people around, but your family is seated together and those that are in YOUR Knight Area cheer with you, so it is a blast.
Question: What happens at this show and dinner event?
You are seated in a long row, set by color and you cheer for your ‘color’ knight as he competes with his skill and strength in combat with other knights to become champion. Just as the show begins so does your meal, a four course saturation of delicious food that will fill every part of your belly and then some(trust me the meal is not skimpy). Chicken, Ribs, Soup, Potatoes, bread and a rib) or if you are like me you get to dine on a vegetarian meal.
VEGETARIAN, Gluten Free and Allergen Free Dining
What is in a vegetarian meal? Loads of food: Soup, Hummus and warm pita bread, a delicious 3 bean stew that includes fire roasted tomatoes and rice (in the coolest little bucket), fruit and a beverage. Did you know that if you check ahead of time, and alert them to Food Allergies such as nuts and Gluten free needs they an fulfill? We have done this 2x successfully and my daughter and son crave their chicken!

The Event: You are a royal guest and you will witness medieval games of skill , as well as the Royal Falconer’s crafted skill. This is an absolutely unbelievable experience that will have you craving MORE! There are performing stallions and a falconry(a falcon that performs). The show itself will just amaze you as the jousting is just one part of what makes the show unique. It is a choreographed show, with a beginning, middle and end, and it is narrated so even the youngest can follow along. What do we like best about the show? My boys love the clanging of the swords, and my daughter loves the eloquence of the falcon. My personal favorite is how you feel whisked away into another time and you just kind of forget everything else because the show is entrancing. The pounding of the hooves is intense and the combat between the knights fierce, but the chivalry of course is always present.
The kids also love(and admittedly so do I) pounding on the table and clapping against the bad knights(those that are not your knight-green, blue, red & yellow, yellow, black & white and red). The louder you are and your tables are the better the show, at least that is what I think! Make some noise, show those knights some love and cheer on because you want your knight to become champion.
The Royal Court The royal court will invite you all in to the event arena, and offer you your meal, you are the King’s Noble guests and the skills and strengths of the Knights will challenge one another and defy what you thought might be possible! The Family This is a show for ALL ages and for every family. There are no real scary parts(it is darker at some points but you can always see). The meals are delicious and at the same time you are eating you are watching a show, so children and adults should delight. Many vendors will be round with light up rings, necklaces, fake roses and photo opportunities so you are sure to have a great collection of memories after you leave . Come with a big appetite and plenty of friends and family, because the more noise the merrier! Chant and Cheer and enjoy getting medieval at the Medieval Times, Myrtle Beach as you lavishly live the Medieval Times out loud dining and being entertained!
