I will personally tell you, that maintaining a body beyond 30 is very difficult and as I age, it is even harder to maintain my weight. Previously I have done Weight Watchers, Nutri-System, Bio-Drops, HCG, and I workout daily. I don’t just walk, I elliptical, stability ball, weight train, kettlebell and medicine ball, but the obstinate waistline really has me fighting harder than ever. My girlfriends are all battling this as well and it seems that as we age, our bellies are just fighting us. Personally, I am not going to give in or settle for a fat belly, sorry, that is not me. I am not going all Muffin Top, that is just not who I am and honestly clothes are so uncomfortable when they don’t fit around the waist! Here’s the deal, if you wear your jeans too tight and your stomach is bulging over them, and then you add a tee shirt too it, let me tell you how that is gonna look without telling you! I just had to laugh at the person who knows my job and walked up to me and told me to broadcast the one diet she had been using. I guess I would have if she would not have been sporting muffin top and looked like someone shoved her body into a shirt that was about to suffocate her. Hate to tell her, the plan she was using is all wrong and the methodology was not a win for her. The harsh reality of some different lifestyles is that they don’t work and the challenge of getting around all the fake advertising that sells them is another episode on its own.
TO hear hear tout drinking beer (any kind) as an ok thing, and then to be able to eat junk along the way, made me snicker, because adherence to lifestyle changes is not short term, it is a commitment to change what we were doing wrong in order to make things AL right in our body. Lack of commitment and the need to eat junk is a craving, meaning that some other core food is not being met in the lifestyle, try what I have here, and see if it works:)
The Nuts and Bolts of LCHF
I am not selling this to you, either you want to change or you don’t and this is truly a committed person’s lifestyle. Most bread in your life will be gone, but so will the belly fat! LCHF is amazing and so much of it is patterned after the PALEO diet out there. After working with this particular lifestyle and making all of the changes, I am finding great success in this and I am benefiting greatly from lower cholesterol to a healthier weight without that blasted muffin top. Are you ready to make a change?Here’s the deal, most of us eat wrong without knowing it and there is just so much misinformation out there, there is no doubt as to why we eat so wrong. Correcting our eating habits is the stumbling block, to weight loss.
In fact, when you correct the eating patterns, the bad habits, and take away the wrong foods your healing begins. I think the largest mistake we all make when going for the change in our body is we plan it as short-term and there is no short-term deal that will solve our weight gain. Rather, what we need to do is approach this as a lifestyle change that when done right will keep one thing on the mend each day… our weight and our appearance which takes off a lot of pressure that we carry around on a daily basis. Self image can either destroy you or make you, so you have decide which side of this you are going to embrace.
So how does this tie into what is lchf and how does it defeat muffin top? Easily. LCHF is low-carb, high fat, eating but not the fats you think. This is not about going out and eating McDonald’s fries till you puke, in fact you won’t be touching a potato on this particular menu!
Low-Carbs? What is a low-carb diet? Here’s how I can make this very easy for you: in a day I don’t consume more than 50g of carbs. Want to know how extreme this is? Pull out a loaf of bread, a bag of french fries, a can of beans and see what the carb count is per serving. I guess you have a vivid picture now of how committed I am to staying fit and not having muffin top. The LCHF is not going to be for a person who things this is a temporary change because if you go back to eating pastas, potatoes, junk foods, breads and so forth, you will right back to where you started. The change I have made is one that is life-long and treats me well if I watch what I am doing.
