Do you often run out with your kids in tow and then suddenly realize that they are all really hungry after a large shopping day? This happens to moms everywhere, but the fact is, fast food is not always the healthiest alternative. Three kids and a mom is what summer brings me each year and the need to feed while out on shopping trips is prominent. My kids love their noodles so when I discovered a place that offers fast food without the fats that traditional fast food offers I was super excited! Noodles & Company creates some of the most creative and culture-rich dishes from around the world which are all prepared using fresh ingredients and noodles! We are Noodles & Company fans and each different opportunity we get to dine in a new location we get all fork and spoon ready to dig into to bowls of noodles! My one son as you all know has severe food allergies but he is completely able to dine at Noodles & Company making it the perfect stop and we stop at their various locations as we travel with ice hockey! Today our stop was in the very new addition to the Noodles & Company family in Washington, PA!
Let’s start here, don’t program your GPS Or even attempt to use your Google directions, because you will end up at a farm about 8 miles the wrong way! The plaza is super new, and it is right across the street from Gabe’s and WalMart! Here is the sign you are looking for.
Now, once you are in the plaza you will see the very familiar sign, Noodles & Company.
The truest Noodles & Company experience means that there is something for everyone from basic buttered noodles to the spicy Indonesian Peanut Saute every palate will be satisfied. Additionally, a no tipping policy, great prices(about $8) and food that is prepared, quickly and to your specification sets it apart from any other eatery. Every genre from kids to adults will love dining here and if you are in need of a caterer, guess what? Noodles & Company has just added this to their repertoire! There are more than 400 restaurant locations around the United States and everything is cooked to order and customizable!
The location I just visited, is in Washington, PA. This facility is 2600 square feet huge and has a seating capacity for 73 guests inside and 22 on the patio. The hours are Sunday through Wednesday, 11:00AM – 9:00PM, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00AM to 10:00PM. If you not yet like me, a FAN here’s how to get to know Noodles & Company. We went in and met the Manager of this location, Sheila Byrne, who helped us with a few new dishes and of course my son ordered his favorite Buttered Noodles. This is why I love Noodles & Company, because when we are home, he lives off of buttered noodles and now when we are out and about he can dine on the same thing and it makes him happy. My oldest son lives and dies for mac-n-cheese, and naturally that is what I have dined on as we eat here often, so I suggested he try this option, and you will shortly see the results. I dined on Japanese Pan Noodles, these were truly authentic and offered a great meal!
My daughter was given reprieve from her normal Gluten Free diet, so she tried out a sandwich, a Wisconsin Cheesesteak and a side of Tomato Basil Bisque, I don’t think the food stood a chance, as she LOVED it and devoured it.
Something new to me and available at this Noodles & Company is dessert, coffee and WINE! That’s right, it’s time for a date night and this is going to be our location, lol!
I was only familiar with the cookies that were available, and this is really a great new addition, making it a perfect stop for families that want to dine out in an easy environment, not worry about tipping(because you never do here) and just enjoy a basic night out with hearty, wholesome options. Did you say let’s get Noodled up?
One last mention, a large attraction, especially for my son, is the soda machine. He has done nothing but brag about this to his sister and brother since he and I began dining there. You see, until today, only my youngest and I have been out and about to all the different locations, as it seems the other kids are often doing other things so he gets spoiled! The soda machine lets him mix and match and really live it up(in kids terms!) The adults have a lot of fun with it as well, don’t be afraid to mix and match as we have had some pretty delicious combos.
When you walk into this location, don’t worry about finding a seat, as the seating you see in the main area is just the beginning. There is plenty of seating outside and if you travel around the ordering counter(head back towards the bathrooms) there is a lot more seating and it is pretty quiet there as well! We did catch WiFi while we were there and it is available to you, so you can have a lunch work date there or just surf the web, but Noodles & Company makes it easy.
Your foods are served in real dishware, actually signature stoneware for Noodles & Company and you will dine with real stainless steel flatware and cups. There is nothing fast about the food you will walk away with other than the service. You are dining in a facility that has figured out how to deliver food that is great tasting, quickly without that ‘fast food’ environment. Soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts will pave a path to your belly and you will love what you eat! We sure do. We are excited that Noodles & Company is expanding and this is Number 6 in the Pittsburgh Area. Lavishly live food out loud with Noodles & Company, Washington, PA.
