It is hard to believe that my 3 month journey with Nutrisystem has ended, but it has been eventful and has left me 14 pounds lighter which is a huge success on my part, as I was trying for 20. This is my last post as part of Nutrisystem Nation and it has been a wonderful journey, unlike any I have taken part of before. As a blog ambassador for the Nutrisystem Nation I can honestly say it is life-changing and a great way to learn about yourself, your strengths and how to eat a bit differently. A very frugal investment is what you will find with Nutrisystem. Your foods are all portioned, prepared and set to eat, you just have to show up!
After following a very regimented program, exercising, and supplementing with the appropriate amounts of water I am convinced that I will carry on quite successfully in my journey. The program makes it very easy to follow as the color coding of foods and the shipments of food to the door.
My largest challenge on the program was being a vegetarian who did not consume meat. While the program offers some great options, you are a bit more limited if you don’t eat eggs and if you don’t eat meats. The products that I did eat that were outstanding were items like the gravy and biscuits, the pizzas, and the fettuccine Alfredo. These options by far were the most tasty and enjoyable. I also really loved the breakfast bars which made it super easy to eat on the fly. The honey bagels were filling, sweet and fiber full so they were a great match up for those mornings that I was home and could eat piece by piece.
I actually messed up on the shakes a few times and forgot to add ice but it made no difference, they were thick, frothy and really great tasting. If you want to know if I would challenge myself to lose the rest of the weight, I absolutely will be. Do I think that Nutrisystem is a great fit for everyone out there? I do, but I think those who will benefit most from this system are those who have eaten way too much per portion, and those who have a lifestyle on the run. The system is so simple as it is pretty much grab, go and microwave. Getting a salad anywhere you go is not hard which makes this a simple way to stay on your diet.
Depending on the weight loss you are planning, will depend on how quickly you see results. If you are used to eating plates filled with food, your life is going to change and your portions will look like something from Honey I Shrunk The Children. I entered the program already eating refined portions from an extensive life redesign I created a few years back and I am moving forward with 14 less pounds. Yes the program works, but do not go into this planning on cheating, and sneaking food in because it won’t work. Do plan on giving up your large dinner plates and moving to sandwich plate sizes and your portions will really change. Get ready to increase your water and veggie intake and stop putting butter on things!
