Mirror Mirror On The Visor, Who’s The Fairest Of Them All? I have to say I almost went into a tailspin thinking I had no mirror to reflect into- thanks goodness I did not have to take a ‘selfie’ to see me!
Today is day #2 with the Kia Forte LX 2014, and I am learning more and more about the vehicle. It was wicked cold this morning and as I was warm in the house, my poor loaner from KIA froze in my driveaway, with windows that frosted up from front to back. I had to get my daughter up to the bus early today, so I went out and warmed the vehicle up. The defrost and hit, had the windows warmed up, un-frosted and ready to go in about 5 minutes. Zip, zoom and up the hill we went to wait for the bus.
As my day has progressed, I got my hair done and had to worry about make-up. You know ladies how when you go to the salon your make-up is setting perfectly then when you get those highlights put in, somewhere in between the shampoo and the cut, your make-up plays the disappearing act? My make-up disappeared today I needed to reapply and touch-up before I left that car for early kid pick up at school today. I was not going to face the world, not pulled together! In my car, I am used to pulling my visor down and seeing me, but instead, I pulled the visor down and did not see a mirror, and the panic set in. I totally dislike using my rear view mirror for any make-up and hair corrections because inevitably miss something. Suddenly, I saw a little handle that allowed me to slide the mirror open and the results are what you can see above, a mirror! The mirror itself is not lit upon opening but there is an overhead light that acts as a spotlight for the mirror. The mirror is perfect for all those last minute nose checks, hair checks and eyeliner, booger removals! Oh YEAH! Spoken like a true mom and hey, we all do it!
This was today’s breaking news from the Kia Forte that you can reflect on for today ladies and tomorrow I will share with you a few more ways you can keep up on you and manage your car when the series continues! Now we are off to the dentist and challenging the parking lot to provide the smallest possible parking spaces; those which I have not been able to enter driving and SUV! Look out Pittsburgh, as Pittsburgh Frugal Mom may be showing up in your neighborhood with the Kia Forte LX 2014~
Here’s to leaving no bats in the bat cave, and no eye boogers undone, drive a KIA and have a cool mirror to reflect in!
