Kids, holidays, and their own things, that is what the holidays are made of! My kids love monogrammed and personalized items and as a parent I think it makes identification so much easier. Last year I boasted a book all about I See Me, it was a wonderful book that placed your kids photos right in the book, and what kids don’t like seeing their face on a page? This year the same great company has expanded their product line to personalized puzzles as well.
I was excited to see the new line of puzzles up close and personal as I reviewed them for you this holiday season. The pieces are large, pretty much the palm of your hand size as you can see from the photo and durable, heavy duty cardboard. This is not going to wear down and rip easily, it has a lot of build in it. The pieces snap together easily without any tugging, pulling, or shoving and once the puzzle is together it looks just like the photo on the box.
There are 24 pieces in a box. I do like that the puzzle was colorful, personalized, and very easy to assemble. This puzzle would be good in my opinion for ages 5-8. The ages 5-8 are just about where the kids learn how to put things together on their own and actually know how to match up the pieces, and by 8 they probably will just fly through the build. There is spelling of their name and that is a skill they must have to match up those pieces and cognitive and problem solving skills will be employed as they work to assemble and fashion the puzzle. At age 5 they definitely are working on perfecting those fine motor skills of hand-eye coordination and the puzzle will help them build those skills while also building their self esteem.
The puzzle size ends up at 12″ x 18″ and if your child desires you could simply mount this on poster board and then hang on the wall in their room. There are many designs to choose from: sports to dinosaurs, something for boys and girls!
