One day you might remember to buy a gift but then you forget. Pressure from our jobs, family commitments, and the daily grind take away our ability to get everything done, but I have some simple last minute gifting tips that will help you out!

From creative eats to lovely personal items that show the recipient you care, get ready to save time, expend less effort and really ignite your gifting game! Who’s ready to lavishly live life out loud, check off the to-do list and add in some simple last minute gifts so you always look organized, and give a gift everyone wants?

Simple Last Minute Gifting Tips

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Tatu Digital Media, however, thoughts, tips, and tricks are all my own.

The Grocery Store Is Your Best Friend

Get to your local grocery store and make the welcoming aisles your new assistant in gifting the perfect gift. Don’t get overwhelmed by all the options, here’s how to gift, keep it simple and yet really let the gift reflect on you like you are the best at gifting.

Keep Things Simple

Remember the best gifts come from the heart and when given, show the recipient you know them enough to give a gift that makes sense in their life. It’s a compliment of family and friendship. It’s not about the cost, it is always about the thought.

Dignify the pet they love with a card for the recipient and some pet food or treats for their pet. Maybe you can give a gift that is for them, but for someone they have in their life, their kids (bubbles, gums, fun eats) it takes the emphasis off gifting but shows them you care. Trust me, we all know which friends we can do something like this for and which we can not.

For the person who loves to groom, grab disposable razors, scented lotions, scented soaps, a bottle of wine and of course some candles, and wrap it all up.  There are the others that love to travel, grab one of everything in the travel size section, they will love your gift idea.  Lottery cards are fun to scratch and I don’t know anyone who does not love a good win from a simple scratch.

The grocery store allows you a lot of creativity from bbq briquets, and cool looking paper wares to delicious bottles of wine and treats, what will you choose? The grocery store is virtually a mini mall with everything you need to make the perfect gift.

It’s The Small Things

Whoever said the best gifts come in small packages should have said, “some of the best gifts are small” because the thought that accompanies that gift is HUGE! From toothbrushes with a small toothpaste for your friend who is living in with you to a pack of gum inside a card that you know will mean something.

Perhaps it is a card with a bottle of wine attached, or wine and crackers and cheese platter.  There’s fragrances, perfumed soaps, and of course all the fun gag gifts too.  Work the Health and Beauty aisle over for funny jokes, like ‘Over the Hill’ with toilet paper, antacids, and hemorrhoid cream, it’s all relevant and simple!

Gift Cards Rock The Multipurpose Gift

Plastic makes an awesome gift and you can find the greatest gift cards in your local grocery store, from end caps to aisle, there are gift cards all over the store and you are certain to hit a home run with a gift card.

Benefits of Buying Gift Cards

Buying gift cards with you grocery reward card allows you to reap the benefits of fuel rewards or using the points to shop or dine.  Don’t forget to use your favorite credit cards, the ones that allow you to can earn points, miles or a percentage back on all your purchases. In fact, some credit cards even offer increased rewards for purchases made at the grocery store!

Bonus

Purchase any gift card at Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Shaw’s, Jewel and ACME stores beginning 5/31 through 6/27 and earn 4x fuel rewards.  Here’s the how to.

    • Purchase any gift card at a participating store (NOTE: Some southwest stores are not participating – please call or visit your local store for details.)
    • Earn 4x fuel rewards
    • Savings like this are a win/win

Gift cards are my go to choice for people who are hard to gift, like my grown up nieces. It is better that way so they can get what they want and I am sure no one can say “no” to a gift card!

I think gift cards are the best gift idea. I don’t think it is thoughtless at all. As a matter of fact, I think it is the most thoughtful gift. Someone can use it to get what they really need or want.

These are some great gifts for last minute. There have been many times that I have found myself in need of a gift but no time to stop for one. I have tried to keep some gifts on hand at home to be ready.
