This is my king of bread! He is a bread connoisseur and he goes crazy for King’s Hawaiian Sweet bread. His diet is pretty limited as he is allergic to so many foods, but he feels like he struck gold when he discovered this bread that is sweet, soft and totally delicious. For my little guy it is back-to-school, but in a houseful of kids, there is nothing like great bread, that packs well for lunches and makes dinner creations and desserts super easy. Today’s adventure is lavishly living out loud with King’s Hawaiian Bread, taste-testing a few different varieties are you ready?
King’s Hawaiian is a family owned business and you might know them for their sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls. We used to take a bunch of the dinner rolls and smash them together to make buns for hot dogs, but no more! It is almost as if King’s Hawaiian knew we were doing this and created the buns that offer the original Island recipe and offer that soft, fluffiness we have come to expect, then that little bit of sweet is just what a hot-dog lover craves, sweet and salty(bun and hot-dog) all in one! These have a top cut, so don’t look for that traditional slice down the middle.
Back-to-School With The King
Sadly, we are bidding adieu to the summer and break is about to end, but my kids don’t let that bother them. My boys, love these specially prepared sandwiches I make, which include King’s Hawaiian Bread. I specially tuck the sandwich into this great container and I know that their sandwiches are not getting crushed even if they smash their boxes into their backpacks.
The King’s Hawaiian breads are baked with signature blends of selected milled flours, artisan yeasts and butter. The end result is bread that is fluffy, moist and delicious! These sandwich buns are large, and allow me to fill the boys bellies up just a bit. We add, a mayo and mustard mix, lettuce, and tomatoes and before you know it the sandwich is overflowing with Aloha love!
BEFORE THEY HEAD OUT THE DOOR
Before my kids leave for school, I give them a sweet, round bread, that is the Original Hawaiian Sweet Bread! Sometimes we slice it, other times they pull at it, and other times they pull at it and dunk it in a sweet chocolate sauce! We have created amazing French Toast and as it really pan fries lightly and quickly. *Tip, easy on the egg, or you will weight this bread down, I use just whites and go a tad heavier on the milk.
As you say farewell to summer, don’t forget that Labor Day celebrations are right around the corner. Say, “Aloha” to your next big family celebration with sweet bread for the burgers and dogs! Send the kids off to a sweet day each day, as childhood should be when you pack up Hawaiian Sweet Bread in their lunchboxes. Lavishly live food out loud and celebrate Hawaii everyday.
