My breathing is funny, I am starting to get stomach butterflies and I can feel the clothing calling my name. I live to shop and I shop to live, does that sound odd? Call it what you may but fashion is a passion and shopping is fun, provides a bit of relief from my hectic days and it helps me pull life together before it hits me. I feel that a well-prepared closet has something for every facet of your life, so no matter what you are called upon to do you have the clothing. That basic black dress is a must, but so are a lot of other pieces and fashion is not just shopped for in one day, it happens over a series of shopping trips, between different stores that offer different items that in the end coordinate. One thing I dislike is that feeling of suffocation when I am shopping in one store at an island-like location. I know you know the feeling, where there are no other stores within walking distance and you are kind of held hostage to what’s available in the store you are in! I prefer to have many brands and retail stores at my beck and call, after all I am a shopping queen! Lavishly living life out loud I traveled to the Tanger Outlets Pittsburgh location(Washington, PA) and shopped till I dropped this weekend.
Brand name clothing, large national chains, like Tommy Hilfiger, Gap Outlet, Coach Outlet, Michael Kors, Old Navy, Under Armour, Famous Footwear, Bath & Body Works and so many more were right at my fingertips. I opened their doors and shopped till I dropped. No isolation from multiple stores, in fact, you can start your outfit building with one brand and travel into the next store to complete the look, I sure did. Fall and back-to-school fashion is moving into the racks and displays and summer merchandise is clearing out which meant even bigger savings on those great name brand clothes, shoes, and items you have to have!
First of all, I don’t dress up when I go out to shop, because I know I am going to be destroying my hair and outfits. I am the queen of try on mayhem and I work that fitting room as though it is my own bedroom. If it does not work at the store, it does not come home, no questions asked and I make sure I wear shoes that are easy to match with most things(flip flops often work well). Next, I always have power food in my purse(almonds do the trick) and I make sure to stop and grab a drink so I keep well hydrated during my shopping workout, after all is there any better workout? When I need more energy I visit the food court for quick grabs and I move on to the next shopping destination but eating just slows me down so I don’t sit.
My first stop was to see Sandy at the Shoppers Services, to snap up my savings coupons(which really add on to the value or really help save you more money) and I presented my AAA card as well. I am a registered shopper at Tanger Outlets! Make sure you map off where you are headed, so you can cross the stores off as you go!
Then it was off to shop, if you have to use the ladies or men’s room, do it now before you start, the bathrooms are located right here at the Shopper Services. If you have already started shopping, look at this– perfect ways for you to stow your stuff!
Now let’s shop! Back-to-school was so easy to complete at the Tanger Outlets, we shopped Old Navy, Under Armour(my son is a fanatic and has to have it all), as well as Gap Outlet. Did you notice Michael Kors opened at our Tanger Outlets? It was very busy and loads of bags were in there waiting for you!
We actually found great uniform shorts in Gap Outlet and the price was ridiculously low, under $14 a pair and they are so well made — Love it! I also grabbed a hoodie for those ice hockey arenas for only $16. You can see our receipts here, we did really well and saved HUGE.
Here is a quick overview of what we bought while we were shopping so you can identify with that receipt set. What a shopping haul!
Imagine what I could have done if I spent the entire day shopping? I probably could have finished, but we are headed back to the outlets to finish up next week, we will probably see you there.
The Tommy Hilfiger shop had such great selections, sales and associates working, they helped me get different sizes and work the coupon magic at the register. I found dresses for Under $20 here and as you know Tommy does not retail for that little so I could say, FASHIONISTA Bargain! Here are few quick #selfies I took while trying on and a few images in the store, because the sales were cray cray! I have been wearing Tommy since back in the day(ok, so it dates me a bit) and I love the creamy cotton, the feel of the clothes and the rich look of each item. The attention to detail and the end result are pieces that I can’t live without!
A bit more shopping, as we headed to the Under Armour store. There were tons of people, as if they were giving the store away, maybe Christmas in July, and this is a testament to the great pricing and great selection you will find! Here we were helping my son try clothes on and making sure he got all his new back-to-school cool gear.
Now as they day continued and we shopped for shoes for my fall fashion my son got a little tired. My mom took him off to eat and then they returned and he was still kind of tired, after all there are so many places to shop. We were in Famous Footwear when we finally decided to call it quits! We had shopped so much and you can see the results on my video.
Now even more exciting than the shopping may be the fact that a free concert is about to occur with Bridgit Mendler, a Meet and Greet and concert! How fab is that? My kids are super excited to be going to this and they told me this is a huge deal(I know it is, I just kind of play silly so they feel like they know more than me with the entertainment stuff).
Shopping for back-to-school, end of summer, and fall fashion has never been easier for your whole family. You can dress yourselves from head-to-toe with a one stop shopping destination. You can shop the sale racks and on this trip I had 20% off coupons for many stores that took the sales prices down even further, talk about cray cray shopping- loved it! Everything you need will be in one location from shoes to clothes and home decor. Don’t be isolated by shopping at strip malls that have one or 2 stores, and don’t stick with just one brand. Mixing and matching is key to being a fashion diva and Tanger Outlets has you covered with national brands and great prices. Get ready to shop till you drop, or at least till you drop the kids with tiredness(lol)! Fill those bags, then fill the closets with trending new fashion and rock that kidstyle and fall fashion.
