Have you ever wanted to test out a whole leaf china black tea that offers flavors and aromas of Passion Fruit and Peach? What about licorice in a cup topped off with mint and lemon? I guess I was a lucky girl this month as my Tea Sparrow saw romance and delivered me a Spring Kiss, with a Passion Peach, followed by providing me the Treasures of Japan and Red Rose Rooibos, I must have been the perfect ‘princess’ this month. Each offers a completely different taste and a romance with tea is what you are about to enjoy. The subscription you purchase can be stopped at any time or paused, can be one time and will fill you up with 35-40 cups of tea each month. You will savor 4 premium loose leaf teas and enjoy herbal and caffeinated variations each month. Let’s take a look at what was in my box!
Spring Kiss is, herbal and a mint and licorice tea with a tinge of lemon, but it is mild enough to not be overpowering. Inside this brew you will find lemongrass, raspberry leaf, cardamom, roseflowers and more.
Red Rose Rooibos is an Herbal tea that is South African and infused with hints of fruit and floral. I have drank many different brands and variations of this tea, however, this loose leaf blend was mild enough to be pleasing, yet strong enough to let you have a light finish, if you add a dash of milk to it and I sprinkled orange grate atop. Your tongue will be wagging for more would be the end result.
Treasures of Japan is a caffeinated, green tea, that has 5 elite Japanese green teas in it. This I found to be pleasing as a mid morning pick-me-up. Green tea has a more ‘stiff’ taste but if you sweeten just a tad you may like the end result. The trick is not overdoing the sweet or you ruin the flavor of the green(IMO).
Finally, Passion Peach, caffeinated black tea. This was the true cool taste of all those I sampled. This was a whole leaf china black tea that had both Passion Fruit and Peach in it. How to get the most out of every sip: I drank this one more ‘hot’ than the others, as I let it steep, and then small sipped(in order to not burn my lips off), but the smell was so amazing that I was addicted from my olfactory senses long before it quenched my mouth! Once I began sipping, I enhanced the flavor with a teaspoon of honey and that is all she wrote. You can see that I used this tea in my Capresso Iced Tea Maker, it is delicious loose leaf and brew perfect, the Tea Sparrow and I will have a few more meetings at the front door to keep me stocked up for my fresh cold brews!
Get ready to twist, wither, nose, boil, steep, sweeten, milk-ify(my own word, lol), pekoe, muddy, ice and oolong for teas that your Tea Sparrow team finds for you! Lavishly live life out loud and enjoy that spot of tea cold and served on the rocks!
