Oh yeah, you got your groove on, you dried your hair, you curled your hair, you threw color into the mix and now tons of spray, what a celebration.  The holidays wreak havoc on those locks and you are having  your own personal party of destruction to each and every strand.  For fun, you decided to restyle, styled hair with a little more heat, and now you are tying it up in a ponytail. Now it’s time for the shower, the moment when all the gooey, undoing occurs, but the fact is, you are not undoing the damage, if you are using your basic shampoo and conditioner.  What is the secret to caring for over processed hair? Let’s lavishly live beauty out loud and introduce you to what I know!

The Secret of caring for over processed hair

Your hair takes a punishment each and every time you dry it, color it, style it, and you need to give back to your hair with Intense Recovery or you can say goodbye to strong hair.  In less than 5 minutes you can use an Intense Recovery Strengthening Treatment to make your hair 2x more resistant to breakage, while repairing what you have already done!

Now, let’s help your hair on a daily basis rather than just on the fly, because while a Intense Recovery 5 Minute Strengthening Treatment is great, there’s nothing like keeping on the up-and-up and getting ahead of the game, so your hair does not get so out of control that it is breaking off in your hand (oh my!)  I have found PRO Series Damage Care and I have to share this with you, AMAZING!

Three Steps to Damage Care

pro series, damage car, biotera, recover shampoo, recovery conditioner, sally beauty, beauty for hair, locks, tresses, styling, over styling, The Secret of Caring For Over Processed Hair, hair curling, hair drying, easy to use, daily, weekly, 5 minutes, clean hair, no more fried hair, paraben free, beauty blogger, dana vento,ad

First Step: Intense Recovery Paraben-Free Shampoo
Yes, a whole lot of words and all you need to know is the BIOTERA PRO SERIES.  This is going to help make your hair 2x more resistant to breakage.  With the Shampoo you are just cleansing the fragile hair not breaking it down more as typical shampoos do, but BIOTERA Is hardly typical it is an exceptional brand at a modest price! This shampoo is safe for color-treated hair and it heals from the inside of the hair cuticles!  Use daily.

Second Step:  Intense Recovery Paraben-Free Conditioner again it is part of the BIOTERA PRO SERIES.   This is part 2 of the 3 steps, apply after shampooing.  My personal recommendation is not to apply from the roots, but rather mid way down, closer to your ears down.  Rinse well and go ahead and style, oh our poor hair! You can use this daily as well.

Step Three: Intense Recovery 5-Minute Strengthening Treatment
I use this once per week, to just really seal the deal! This is fortified with Tri-Soy Complex and during the holidays I do use this once per week following the Intense Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner. You do not let this stay in your hair, it must be rinsed out.

The resulting condition of your hair will be so much more healthy, and 2x more resistant to breakage.

A Few Other Tips & Tricks For Your Consideration

I also highly suggest a hair break (no pun intended) after extended periods of hair abuse (color, dryers, irons, etc) where you let your hair just be and of course ponytail it.

If you are using a flat iron or curling iron don’t do it to DAMP hair, because there is just no coming back from that mistake.

Don’t style hair that is damp, make sure it is dry.

Do use a heat-resistant spray before you style.

Do condition weekly to help colored and processed hair.

Invest in the BIOTERA family of products as they will keep you looking your best, allow your hair to be lavishly lived out loud and not kill you with an overly-luxurious price tag. The line of products offers great results without killer cost!  Lavishly live beauty out loud and spread the Secret of caring for over processed hair to all your gal pals! ~ Dana

Great tips – my eldest daughter used to dye, style, straighten her poor hair all the time – thank goodness she has eased off now! Her natural hair is beautiful too! Kaz 🙂

This is a new product for me. I seem to be needing to cover the greys a lot more 🙂 – this Bioterra would be great to keep my hair healthy after so much processing

this gives me something to think about for the future should i do anything that would make my hair processed. i don’t dye or use the curling iron or straightener and typically air dry my hair but i’ll keep this information in mind

My hair is colored once a month and is very dry and prone to breakage. I may consider this when my current products are out.
