The wines are calling my name and after all Christmas is the season of RED so looking for that next great glass of red is always on my mind! I do love a good red blend and I always chill mine. I have paired this with appetizers, red meats, pizza, salads, and even fruit with cheese and I am happy to report this wine is Awesome Sauce in a glass! Red Blend is beautiful, and the blend I have just tried out offers a TRIPLE play of Zinfandel, Merlot and Petite Sirah. Each of the grapes provides a unique characteristic to the wine, but none of them makes the wine obnoxious or wildly overpowered by each other! Get ready to lavishly live live wine out loud with the story of the Tin Roof Red Blend For The Holidays.
We actually prepared an olive sampling and placed this wine in glasses with the olives in their trays and what a delicious pairing. We had black olives stuffed with garlic, green olives stuffed with garlic, Gorgonzola stuffed olives, calabrese olives and even some Italian seasoned olives with hot pepper!
I chilled the wine, and chilled the glasses(while you don’t have to, I love doing this!). The Tin Roof Zifandel has berry and spice flavors. Want to know what else to compliment this bottle of wine with? Try serving up grand holiday foods like beef wellington with Yorkshire pudding and a gravy. Prime rib would also pair up well with this wine. While I am not traditionally a Zifandel kind of chic, this was more red than Ziffy and not as SWEET as some of this Zifs out there!
The holidays are upon us, and there is no such thing as buying too much wine, so if you are lucky enough to find Tin Roof Blend stock up and buy more than one because I am certain that the Tin Roof will shine its magic on you! Two Wine Glasses Up for this great wine! What wines do you like to serve during the holidays?
