It is a rare weekend, when I can’t find us something fun to do in our great city of Pittsburgh. Everyone needs a little bit of inside scoop to know where to find fantastic food and family fun in Pittsburgh so I thought I might throw a few recommendations out there for those trying to plan their weekends.
Rain, shine, snow, sleet, hail, we head out for the weekend, because the kids are only going to want to be with their mom for so long and then that age happens when it is cooler to be with friends than family.
You know I love to shop, so every time we go out, I look for ways to creatively work in shopping, while sneaking in a bit of food.
Now I am ready to share my secret of where to find fantastic food and family fun in Pittsburgh, so that you too can lavishly live food, family and fun out loud.
Did you ever notice that when you have the kids, shopping is fine until the food runs out or when there are a lack of inviting things for them to touch, feel, and check out? I have that problem solved!
What I have learned is that shopping in certain places offers me a lot of options from dining to family fun and of course the ability to knock things off of my To-Do list. My favorite stop is always IKEA where we shop, eat, and have some fun.
IKEA Pittsburgh is getting ready to celebrate their Grand Re-Opening of their Restaurant Remodel with food, prizes, specially marked store merchandise, live music and so much more April 30- May 1, 2016.
IKEA Pittsburgh has a lot of great WEEKEND Activities for families from crafts to food sampling and I am always into my DIY projects so a stop here is just a natural progression of a day out.
My kids love the refillable beverages, I love that I can eat vegetarian foods and if you are part of the IKEA Family (free card) you get free Coffee each time you are there, total BONUS!
In addition the IKEA Family Card offers great pricing incentives throughout the year, like entertainment centers, lunch box reusables, etc.
This weekend, come on out and join me at IKEA PITTSBURGH where you will be able to sample some of the delicious IKEA MARKET FOODS, like Sushi and Chocolate, just to name a few and of course there will be plenty of fun for the kids.
Remember you can drop the kids off in Småland and you can shop till you drop and sample foods while the kids have fun playing in a supervised environment at NO CHARGE. (oh yeah!)’
On April 29 be one of the first 100 people in line at 5P in front of the IKEA Restaurant and receive a Mystery envelope. The Mystery Envelopes will have fun prizes ranging from free ice cream to a $100 IKEA gift card! (restrictions apply) & from 5-8P enjoy live music.
