What do a Mitsubishi Outlander, The Residence Inn, The Columbus Zoo, COSI, Max & Erma’s, and The Columbus Brewing Company have in common? ME! We will be all over Columbus, driving in a sporty SUV, visiting all of these great places. It’s time to travel and so we go. My kids and I are off to Columbus, Ohio. We travel all over the place, but sometimes the places that are closest to home go unnoticed. Not this year, we are going to squeeze as much as we possibly can into a few days in Columbus, Ohio.
As you might know I am an Ambassador to The Residence Inn, and my family finds that their accommodations are exceedingly perfect for adults and kids alike when you have an extended stay(more than a one day stay) planned. For this trip we are going to be at The Residence Inn Of Columbus, Downtown. This will allow us perfect access to The Ohio State, where we will be playing hockey as well as the ideal location to shop(of course) and tour this great city!
Breakfast is provided a part of your package, your rooms are spacious, and you can prepare food in your room or bring it back because you have a fully stocked kitchen(sins food). IN our case, The Residence Inn has been our saving grace all over the United States as my son has serious food allergies and so often I have to just bring food with us when we travel and go to hockey tourneys because we can’t take any chances.
The Entertainment Side Of Columbus, Ohio
When you travel with kids, it is always important to find things that will not only entertain them, but educate them. I have the perfect set up for them while we are in Columbus, Ohio: The Columbus Zoo as well as COSI. At COSI the kids will be learning and see exhibits that will have them talking and their mind whirling for days after we leave. Additionally we will be visiting the Giant Screen Theater while we are there to see a great movie The Great White Shark, I am sure this will eat my kids up, lol! In reality however, my children are obsessed with Shark Week so this is going to be a really great opportunity to learn more.
Animals are always a hit, but I hear this is bigger than the Pittsburgh Zoo which we have been going to every year, so I can’t wait to see it! Needless to say the kids can’t wait.
FOOD & Beverage in Columbus, Ohio
We are huge fans of Max & Erma’s and this is a place my son CAN eat. We are going to be visiting the original Max & Erma’s in German Town as well as the Columbus Brewing Company all sure to have great eats! Check for our car parked outside, so we can meet! Remember it’s a Mitsubishi Outlander.
Can’t wait to see you when we lavishly live travel out loud and visit Columbus, Ohio.. Stay tuned for all the details on all these great places!
