Preheat Oven to 350°F
Place parchment paper into a baking pan.
Spray with nonstick spray.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, place cake mix.
Then eggs
Follow with almond extract and oil.
Mix very well,
Scrape down the sides of the bowl
Transfer batter into baking pan.
Place your cherries around the cake, dispensing evenly.
Next. Place in the oven
Bake for 30 minutes at 350° F The cake will kind of sink in (which is what you want).
Remove once a toothpick comes out clean (30 minutes- but ovens vary) remove.
Allow this to cool for about 30 minutes.
Then, slice and top with whipped topping and an additional cherry plus cherry drizzle.
