Do you have your Leprechaun Hat ready to go for the biggest green celebration of the year?
The Luck O' The Irish is going to be celebrated world-round shortly as it is a celebration like no other it's St. Patrick's Day!
Getting your green on is not so hard to do, but really celebrating and going all out on this day has to be planned just a bit. 
This year I have created lovely little Leprechaun Hats to devour. 
From beverages to the food we are ready to celebrate the Luck of the Leprechaun.
We want the Luck O' The Irish.  These little treats are your St. Patrick's Day bakery special to your family.
Ready to make your own "Luck O' The Irish" and it is nut-free! 
Honestly, the feedback from some people was that it looked so basic!
That's right, I keep things simple and real! Remember Y'all I am you, I cook like you, I am not the Expert Baker.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Boxed cake mix
  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • Non-Stick Spray
  • Cupcake Pans
  • Disposable Pastry Bag & Tip
  • A Tub Whipped Topping Defrosted
  • Writing Gel - black
  • M & M's in Yellow
  • Green Food Coloring

Instructions
 

For The Cake Mix

  • For The Cake Mix
    Preheat your oven according to cake instructions
    Spray Cupcake pans with plenty of non-stick spray
    In a large mixing bowl, prepare boxed cake mix according to directions
    Fill Pastry Bag with Cake Batter
    Dispense batter, cavity by cavity with a pastry bag, filling to the top of cupcake cavity
    Bake according to box directions
    Remove From Oven and allow to cool right side up for 20 minutes
    Place Cupcakes then on cooling rack right side down for 20 minutes and then remove from pan (they should just fall right out)
    Slice the Bottom off of each cupcake (which is actually the top, making it flat)
    !For The Icing
    Place Whipped Topping into a large mixing bowl
    Add Food Coloring GREEN to it and mix well
    Use a Spatula and coat each cupcake INVERTED, so fat side down
    Make sure to not over-ice as you want to contour and show the intricacies of the contouring
    Around the Brim of the cupcake where the flat part meets the little part, trace with Black Gel
    Dead Center Add an M&M (Yellow)
    Allow To Set
    Continue until all the Leprechaun Hats are complete.
    Refrigerate any uneaten Leprechaun Hats.

Notes

Cook's Notes For Leprechaun Hats
It is very important that you slice what used to be the TOP of the cupcake FLAT For these to work.
Use a very small serving dish to make these look great.
Contour the icing so that it looks just right and HUGS the form of the hat, do not over ice, keep it simple and light.
DO refrigerate if you are not serving immediately.
