What do you get when you take ice cream sandwiches and turn it into a dessert? 
An easy ice cream cake!
This is the most simple to make a dessert with outstanding results.
You'll be able to make this decadent easy ice cream cake with simple ingredients up to an hour before your guests arrive or a day before.
The ingredients are easy to find, and there is NO baking required, not even a brownie base!.
Perhaps best of all, you can make this whole dessert in about 5 minutes and it presents like it took hours.
Change up the flavors, ice creams, toppings to match your occasion.
Use this easy ice cream cake for birthdays, holidays, parties, celebrations, graduations, and any time you just want a really yummy treat.
While there is icing, you won't believe what kind!
So, for me, desserts are not about 3 million steps from start to finish. 
What about you? 
I have a life, with a job, 3 kids, and a cat, and if the dessert is not going to be able to be made in under 15, chances are it's not getting made in my house. 
However, I only make pretty desserts, that is desserts that present as 'visually pleasing to the eye.'
That said, this easy ice cream cake is a winner from start to finish and there's no baking required. 
Nope, not a layer of brownies or cake! 
As a result, this easy decadent easy ice cream cake makes an appearance in my home over and over!

  • 9-12 Ice Cream Sandwiches
  • Magic Shell Chocolate Sauce
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Whipped topping defrosted and whipped


  • Defrost whipped topping and keep refrigerated until after you are ready to prepare the dessert.
  • Unwrap 9 ice cream sandwiches

  • Using a tray of your choice (remember it has to be covered) stack 3 ice cream sandwiches vertically.
  • Next, smear whipped topping across the top of the ice cream sandwiches.
  • Then, squeeze the caramel sauce across this layer.
  • Now follow that with the Magic Shell Chocolate Sauce.
  • Add a few chocolate chips (optional).
  • For the 2nd layer, place the ice cream sandwiches, horizontally.
  • Then repeat the whipped topping and al the sauces.
  • Now begin the 3rd layer, with the last 3 sandwiches ( unless you are choosing to 4 layers in which case you will have to do one more layer and a total of 12 sandwiches).
  • Use your whipped topping to spread across the top of the layer, then, ice the sides.
  • Drizzle with caramel and chocolate sauce.

  • Freeze before serving at least one hour.
  • Serve frozen and store any leftovers in the freezer.
