Triple Peach Margaritas in a glass

Fresh Peach Margaritas

dana vento
Did someone say, 'Peach Margaritas?'
Margaritas are one of my favorite drinks to sip on.
Today's feature recipe, that I am going to share is beyond sip-worthy!
Loaded with peaches, and peach flavors, these fabulously fresh and sip-worthy triple peach margaritas will no doubt become your favorite!
Delicate, ripe, fleshy and succulent fresh peaches are the key to the resulting flavor, but the peach does not stop there!
Chill your glasses, make sure there's enough ice in the freezer.
Then, grab your blender, a few good friends, and some good snacks.
It's time for a margarita fiesta!
You can double the recipe of quadruple, etc, I make these one by one to get that perfect taste, but they turn out no matter what, as we have made them by the pitcher!

Ingredients

  • 1-3 Peaches Rinsed and Cut Peach with SKIN on (toss pit) + puree You can peel the peaches or not I never take the skin off and you can read in the post why. You need to toss out the pit. Also, the more puree you add the thicker the drink, but if you add more puree you will want to counterbalance with a bit more ice.
  • 1 c Ice (1/2 -3/4 C) in the puree and 1/4 C in the glass as little or as much ice as you like.
  • 3 oz Tequila (Gold or Silver) I would suggest GOLD Tequila if you are making these FROZEN truly frozen. Gold tequila is also the perfect compliment to fruity margaritas as it is smooth so it is an optimal choice for this drink. But whatever Tequila you have is what you can use, and that advice has never failed me!
  • 2 oz -Triple Sec or Cointreau (Cointreau will upstage Triple Sec all the time so, you choose, but we use Cointreau for a better flavor)
  • ½ medium Orange Squeezed (about a 1-2 tablesoons or so) It's not a lot, but enough to squeze out of a wedge that you would have cut off of the orange. This is a splash. An orange, cut in half then half again, and squeeze one of those wedges! It's just for flavor, the lime will be the balance to the Cointreau and will be added at the end.
  • 1 oz 99 Peach Schnapps (optional)* I used 99 Peaches - you could swap Peach Schnapp's as well (I've showed that in photo in my writeup) This addition breaks the rule of the best margarita as generally it is a 3:2:2 ratio
  • ½ large Lime Freshly Squeezed (about 2 oz)
  • *Optional Salt for rim

Instructions

  • Rinse and cut peach (toss pit)
  • Place the peach in the blender and puree with a few ice cubes (1/2 c max) We are not going for 'frozen' peach margaritas just on the rocks.
  • Add Tequila (Gold or Silver)
  • Add Cointreau and the splash of freshly pressed orange juice (1 oz)
  • 99 Peaches* Optional If you are using it (I used 99 Peaches for a greater alcohol content) Otherwise move on to the next step to pulse to blend
  • Pulse for about 15-20 seconds to mix, and let it sit for a minute while you prep the glass
  • Scoop the other 1/2 C of ice into the Mason jar or 15 oz Margarita glass (you can always add more) just enough to cool the fresh peach margaritas but not enough to water them down
  • Top off the mixture with the freshly Squeezed Lime and give it a good stir

Notes

The alcohol as added is 6 oz, and the fresh fruit juice that you will press adds an additional 2 oz. The Ice will with the puree and then the additional added to the glass will fill you up nicely!
The peaches when blended will constitute the balance, alongside the ice, creating a 16 oz beverage.
If you have extra peach puree or want to, you can add it to the top of the margarita and then give it a dash of fresh lime as well, and when it is served with a straw, the person who has the drink can stir the puree in for more fruity flavor.
The fresh peaches margaritas are strong, so don't drink and drive!
You can eliminate the 99 Peaches if you prefer, it is an add-in and while it does make a stronger alcoholic content, the typical fresh peaches margaritas require only 5 ounces of alcohol with the Tequila 3 Oz to 2 Oz of Cointreau or Triple Sec (whichever you choose) and then 2 Oz Lime.
Friends don't let friends drink and drive.
Don't drink if you are underage or pregnant.
Consume alcohol responsibly.
These are perfect for nights when you are going nowhere but want a drink with a great taste and a lot of 'punch' without tasting it (the alcohol)
