Drunken Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
Red, ripe and chocolate covered berries with wine divine drunked chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy!
- 2 pints of large ripe strawberries some for making and some for munching
- 1 cup Ghiradelli chocolate
- 1 cup Chardonnay Merlot or Champagne, Amaretto
- 20 plastic pipette tubes
- Red and pink chocolate melting wafers
Wash and dry your strawberries and pat dry let sit
Line a pan with parchment paper and line up those berries.
Take your pipettes and add your wine of choice and insert one into each strawberry
Allow the berries to absorb all the wine before moving on.
Chocolate Preparation
Place each color of chocolate wafers into a separate bowl (chocolate)
Place each bowl separately into the microwave (repeating this process for each color)
For now just melt the chocolate colored wafers. We are going to coat the berries first.
Set Microwave to 50% power for one minute (less for the colors including white 45 seconds max)
Remove From Microwave and stir, which helps the melted chocolate.
Berry Dipping
Dip each strawberry into the chocolate covering 3/4 of the berry
Place the berry back on the baking sheet to allow to dry.
Melt the pink and red wafers in their separate bowls per the above directions
Take each berry and drizzle as you like. Enjoy and refrigerate any uneaten berries.
