Drunken Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Red, ripe and chocolate covered berries with wine divine drunked chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pints of large ripe strawberries some for making and some for munching
  • 1 cup Ghiradelli chocolate
  • 1 cup Chardonnay Merlot or Champagne, Amaretto
  • 20 plastic pipette tubes
  • Red and pink chocolate melting wafers

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry your strawberries and pat dry let sit
  • Line a pan with parchment paper and line up those berries.
  • Take your pipettes and add your wine of choice and insert one into each strawberry
  • Allow the berries to absorb all the wine before moving on.

Chocolate Preparation

  • Place each color of chocolate wafers into a separate bowl (chocolate)
  • Place each bowl separately into the microwave (repeating this process for each color)
  • For now just melt the chocolate colored wafers. We are going to coat the berries first.
  • Set Microwave to 50% power for one minute (less for the colors including white 45 seconds max)
  • Remove From Microwave and stir, which helps the melted chocolate.

Berry Dipping

  • Dip each strawberry into the chocolate covering 3/4 of the berry
  • Place the berry back on the baking sheet to allow to dry.
  • Melt the pink and red wafers in their separate bowls per the above directions
  • Take each berry and drizzle as you like. Enjoy and refrigerate any uneaten berries.
