Ingredients
Method
- On a flat surface unroll pizza dough.
- Cut this in half, and then into 8 equal strips. (each strip will be a braid)
- On another flat surface, sprinkle flour and use a bit on your fingertips.
- Transfer one strip of dough to your sprinkled surface.
- Stretch width of dough, and then to one side add pepperoni halves and a light spice sprinkle.
Tucking and Rolling the Twisted Pepperoni Bread
- Now tuck and roll the width of the dough, pinching and crimping as you go.
- When you are done, you will have one long strand of filled dough.
- Repeat but this side will be cheese filled. No pepperoni on this side.
- Take another strip of dough, transfer it to a lightly floured board and same to your fingertips.
- Stretch the width of dough and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Tuck and roll the width of the dough, pinching and crimping as you go.
- When you are done, you will have one long strand of filled dough.
- Bring both pieces of filled dough side by side.
- At one end begin to ‘x’ the dough and PINCH the ends together.
- You will now braid the dough strips together.
- Place into Air Fryer Basket and use a pastry brush to apply olive oil on the fry basket. (even if it is nonstick I suggest this.
- Take the same pastry brush and olive oil and brush the braided dough.
- Dust with Garlic Salt.
- Program Air Fryer to 480° for 4 minutes.

Notes
Once the twist comes out I always dust it with parmesan cheese.
Some of the dusting melts into the warm bread and then I hit it again.
Again, another option and it is however you like to have your taste.
