Once upon a time, I was young, I was without kids, and I would never have thought of writing the words I am about to write! After having children there is simply no modesty left and nothing is private on your body. My perspective on life changed, my body changed and everything within my body changed.
As my day-to-day life continues to evolve I would never trade it for anything, but I will do one thing very differently from this day forward, I will speak up and out about my changing needs as a women both inside and out. What I have learned is that if you don’t talk about what is happening with your body you begin to have a complex that it is only YOU that things happen to.
What if I could tell you there are ultimate security and protection products against bladder leakage are available and will help you feel more secure when you sleep so you can rest rather than worrying if you are sleeping in a puddle? Let’s look at how lavish life is, celebrate being a woman and discuss the way to achieve worry-free nighttime protection from bladder leakage! Here are 4 tips to take charge of overnight bladder leakage!
OVERNIGHT BLADDER LEAKAGE
Today’s story is about overnight bladder leakage and it is not uncommon among women but what is uncommon is getting women to speak up and out about it. What I have found is the more you speak it, the more you find you have in common with others and the more others suddenly speak about it! Women need women, women need communication and women need an outstanding nighttime protection so they can rest and take on the world the next day. This post is a sponsored post on behalf of POISE, however, opinions and images are my own.
MY STORY
I am not going to tell you that talking about overnight bladder leakage reigns high up there on things I want to discuss, but I will tell you that accepting a situation is the path to dealing with a situation. Imagine never having any issues with bladder leaks to only roll over in bed and feel a little warm. No kids were sleeping in my bed, and I was in there alone, so guess what, to me, it was completely out of the realm of possibility that I might have leaked overnight, but I did.
Mortified, disgusted with myself, with my body and feeling like an aged old person, I felt robbed of life suddenly. What was the matter with me, how could I have done this? What could I do to solve the issue? Would this happen again and if it did how do I make it not mess up my bed? Should I feel ashamed? Should I tell my husband? Is my body failing? What is the deal? These are things that all raced through my mind and then, there were the sleepless nights so I could basically stand guard over myself, but I was exhausted.
1. ACCEPT CHANGE
One of the hardest things in life is accepting change. I do not care who you are, change does not roll off you like running water. Rather change is something we grow into and once we let a change happen, it progresses more smoothly. It’s kind of like hurt feelings, the minute you come to terms with how you are feeling is the minute you are released from the toxicity of the negative feelings, and change occurs. Acceptance allows us to grow and growing allows us to open up and speak out.
How do you take acceptance and make it work for you with overnight bladder leakage? You accept that the situation is what it is, and then you decide to take charge of the situation. You are a woman, you are strong and that is how we have to face overnight bladder leakage. It was time to talk to someone but who? Going to the Dr. would be totally over the top for me right now, and talking to my husband would definitely not have solved the situation as he would not understand. He would then tell me to go to the Dr. again not what I would choose to do.
2. COMMUNICATION
I want to mirror change, and communication after a bad relationship. The first step to helping a bad relationship is accepting that it stinks, then you have accepted change. Now, knowing how bad it is, most humans are good and want to make things better in that otherwise bad relationship, so rather than jumping ship, what happens next? Communication. My next discussion was with my girlfriends as we headed out for a night out. Think of a bad relationship
You know what was funny, I mentioned I did not want to ‘drink’ too much because I had been experiencing a bit of bladder leakage and my one friend laughed and said, “Oh you finally caught up to us, we all have liners on for leakage when we are out!” That was it, it was drinks for everyone chatter and suddenly that black cloud that went with me everywhere was released. Talking allows us to experience things together.
3. KICK FEAR & UPSET
It’s time to take control of your overnight bladder leakage and get your life back together. Stop staying up all night worrying that you will leak on the bed. Stop putting liners on your bed and being afraid to find your favorite position. Stop kicking your partner out of the bed, creating a whole other set of issues, trust me, you got this!
Life is short, live it lavishly, live it lively and make some noise when things are not going the way you think they should. Let me share what I know, and let you kick fear and upset away, and get your life aligned just perfectly like the stars!
