To me, getting to a destination does not equate to a vacation, the vacation does not start until you get OUT of the airport and to your resort or condo or cruise, whatever you have booked. Organization is worth its weight in gold when you arrive at the airport and have to do nothing more than walking straight to your ride.
My most recent family vacation was to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. If you know anything about the Puerto Vallarta airport you already know that getting out of the ‘tank’ is like a shark feeding frenzy by those who are vying for your business or those that are promising you ‘free’ rides and adventures if you come listen to their ‘time share pitches’.
Thanks but no thanks is what I have to say to the chaos and as a seasoned, travel blogger, I am about to introduce you to the best Puerto Vallarta Private Airport transportation we have interacted with. Get ready to lavishly live travel to Puerto Vallarta out loud and relax when you get off the plane, your vacation is about to begin.
Best Puerto Vallarta Private Airport Transportation
Honestly, the chaos after getting off the plane in Puerto Vallarta is easily passed by if you know what you are doing. We got off the plane, had our papers filled out, moved through the officiants (no hats, no glasses, no cell phones) and then moved to baggage pick up. Because we flew DELTA moving out of the airport was even easier because they had their own line to go through immigrations closest to the far wall furthest from baggage rounders.
We landed, we are ready! Vamanos!
Once we moved through immigrations we were in a sea of vendors begging us to, ‘ride with them’ or take an adventure, and I mean hundreds of vendors, but we just walked right through because we made reservations with Vallarta Incentives and Transfers.
We have been flying and traveling since 4AM in the morning, I am exhausted, hungry and can’t wait to start my vacation! All I looked for was Miguel and my sign DANA VENTO. I had been provided VERY specific directions as to how to move through the sea of vendors and to get to my ride, and even though I have never been in that airport before I successfully guided my family through the maze.

BEFORE YOU GO
I spent a lot of time researching how to get to and from the airport and I had no good idea. I read a few stories of what NOT to do on Trip Advisor and then I found Vallarta Transfers and Incentives
I emailed them, they emailed back. I paid my ride to and from the hotel via PAYPAL, was sent a receipt and then provided the following information.
- Name of the airline and number of flight.
- Time of the arrival (as the airline says), don’t worry if the flight is delayed we are going to be monitoring the flights.
- At your departure (the time of your flight leaves, take a minimum 2 hours and a half from that time, it means if your flight departs at 1:00 pm the best hour to pick you up from the hotel is 10:30 am.
- Also, you can choose at your arrival and departure if you want water or beer per passenger your tell us are free! and if you need a special seat (baby seat, child seat, etc) just mention it, it is not extra cost.
To and From The Airport
We never worried that our flight got in early, we never worried how we would find our resort and we did not worry about our luggage. Miguel (maybe he will be your driver too) educated us on the area as we drove, pointed out the stores, some landmarks and told us how long it would take to get to and from the airport.
In addition, we received a confirmation email (even though the WIFI was not so grand) that our ride back was confirmed for our last day and Miguel came back and greeted us at the entrance of our resort. No need for a cab (actually it would have been two for us) and no need to get any unofficial tours, just to and from the airport.
Inside the Van
I earned this cerveza, after immigrations, luggage claim, flights and tons of people and the heat, all I can say is #Cheers!
The van was air-conditioned, clean and had plenty of comfortable seating. Miguel was a pro with the Puerto Vallarta area, provided us with cold beer and water for all us both coming and going. What we loved best is the fact that he was ON TIME and kind.
TIP: In case you love having a private driver and personal attention to really learn the area, you can also hire Vallarta Transfers and Incentives to take you to different locations like San Sebastian, Sayulita, San Pancho, etc, which you can read about here!
We could not have given ourselves a better gift than planning our to and from the airport with this private transportation! IF you are headed to Puerto Vallarta there is not question that this is the Best Puerto Vallarta Private Airport Transportation to and from your resorts. Ask for Miguel he is wonderful. Lavishly live your travel to Puerto Vallarta out loud!
