If you love bridges, make sure to read my article on 8 Incredible USA Bridges to drive over, but none of them are in New York #lol!
Imagine the reality of the traffic that the George Washington Bridge sees. The top level of the bridge carries 4 lanes of traffic in each direction. While the lower level carries 3 lanes of traffic in each direction, that’s a lot of vehicles moving across the bridge daily!

Brooklyn and Manhattan are connected with this engineering masterpiece. You will find this at New York City’s East River and when you find it, you will just stare in amazement. The capture of images here is pretty cool, as you can walk the bridge or ride the bridge. Of course from the shore, it is a great site as well. How will you grab that Instagram-worthy photo of the Brooklyn Bridge?
New York Skyline, by Manhattan and Hudson
To get the best Instagram opportunity by sunset, I suggest, a shot of the Manhattan from the Hudson River itself. Shooting from the river gives you a very different perspective and unique opps to watch the sunset dance across the water.
However, Little Grand Ferry Park in Brooklyn lends itself well to the fantastic by day photos of the skyline. Take your time, focus and don’t get discouraged because every shot will be amazing. Manhattan’s skyline is one recognized after you have seen it up close for all the movies it has been in. Yes, I am a movie girl who loves to see it all in person!
There is a whole other perspective for grabbing the best shot, it’s called a helicopter ride. If you want the best of the best my suggestion is trying that out. It’s all about your style and what you want to capture!
Central Park
Really, there are no bad photos in Central Park. The center, the hub, nature, the people, the park, it’s all good! No vehicles in the park make it perfect for strollers, walkers, and joggers. Also for those of us that just like to snap pictures, it makes it much easier. You do not have to worry about anything except that image!
Are you going to see Alice and Wonderland in the ‘mid-park’ area? Or will you visit the Minton tile ceiling in the arcade of Bethesda Terrace? Perhaps you will go to the Locke, or the Reservoir, or Belvedere Castle. I think you will need the day to capture all the shots.
Statue of Liberty
The universal symbol of freedom and democracy, there she stands, Lady Liberty. Visit the Crown, take a self-guided tour for the best and most relaxed pace or head to the Pedestal and climb the stairs to the balcony.
While they do offer tours, if you want the best shots, you do not want to be rushed or bumped into. Do your own thing and walk yourself all over. Keep snapping, don’t Instagram until later when you are sure that you have the best one chosen.
Instagram worthy images are all over New York, just stop and take a photo. From behind the camera, you may not see what you captured, so wait to post. Walk away, look through your pics and then post. You will be amazed at how many photos you will have that you will love. New York rocks the words ‘Instagram-Worthy!’
