3 Helpful Tips For Cleaning Showers and Baths Without Chemicals
VINEGAR
One of my favorite cleaners is White Vinegar. White Vinegar has amazing cleaning properties. The issue for so many people is that they do not like the smell of white vinegar, but it truly cleanses and sanitizes quite well.
For countertops either spray vinegar (using a cheapie spray bottle from a dollar retailer) or let it puddle a bit and then wipe with a paper towel. The white vinegar naturally sanitizes and kills bacteria. Vinegar cleans glass well, I use it straight on and wipe with paper towels, some do an even ratio of vinegar to water.
SPIN SCRUBBER
Take control of the tub and the tiles in your bathtub without chemicals and without endlessly scrubbing. No need to kill your back, just turn this on, put any of the 3 scrub brush heads on depending what you need to clean and look out because the Hurricane Spin Scrubber has cyclone like power that is going to cut through soap scum and grime easily.
The question everyone always asks me when I present products like this is, “does it really work?” My answer to this is yes, we cleaned 3 showers and tiles. The boys are really tough in their bathroom and I am forever cleaning, but once it gets dirty it is hard to get clean, until now.
The Spin Scrubber goes at 300 RPM. One charge lasts up to 60 minutes, and it is cordless and rechargeable. Each of the 3 heads are interchangeable. The Hurricane Spin Scrubber comes with an extension pole, 3 scrubbing heads, and an AC Adapter.
What I love most about this product is that I can use it outside the shower and I stay dry. I can even reach behind our toilet area without bending because the pole does the work. It is incredible how it really cuts through dirt, grime, etc.
The head of the pole is not flexible, in case you want to know that but it kicks ass at cleaning. You can use cleaners if you choose, but again we went the chemical-free route and used vinegar, and made a baking soda paste and it truly cleaned the grout of the shower and the basin of the tub!
BAKING SODA
Cleaning grout has never been easier, in fact, this natural chemical free method will allow you to clean your grout and really make a difference. You can also clean your toilet bowls with baking soda. Use equal parts vinegar and baking soda and you will be able to scrub, clean and deodorize (1/2 C).
Baking soda makes a great paste that allows me to clean crevices on bathroom shower doors as well as countertops and sinks. Baking soda is also a great anti-clogging cleaner that I pour down sinks.
